About the Role:

The Team: This leadership position will be a part of the S&P Global Market Intelligence private markets data operations team. The purpose of this team is to generate gold standard unique market-leading data & analytics to advance equity & debt rounds of funding across alternate asset classes , helping with greater insights and transparency.
Responsibilities & Impact: This leadership role within the Data team is vital for advancing the team's advancement , as it involves overseeing both internal and external services, supporting team leaders and members, and ensuring operational excellence in the management of datasets and content. It presents an opportunity to lead a team of highly motivated individuals & contribute to achieving the team’s goals. The position encompasses driving efforts to enhance data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness through collaboration, innovation, and the execution of ad-hoc projects, specifically focusing on the acquisition and collection of equity and debt rounds of funding across alternate asset classes . Additionally, this role will drive innovation in data analytics practices, ensuring our methodologies remain at the forefront of industry standards.
Responsibilities:
Data-Driven Strategies: Develop strategies integrating technical expertise and product knowledge to deliver high-quality private market solutions.
Performance Tracking & Risk Assessment: Monitor team performance metrics, optimize resource allocation, and conduct due diligence to mitigate risks.
Data Quality Leadership: Drive data quality initiatives aligned with private market priorities.
Data Acquisition & Team Well-Being: Identify , support, and develop strategies for acquiring new datasets /da tapoints relevant to capturing equity and debt rounds of funding across alternate asset classes while fostering a people-first culture.
Market Research & Analysis: Conduct continuous research to uncover emerging trends, opportunities, and threats within the equity and debt rounds of funding across alternate asset classes , providing valuable insights that guide strategic decision-making.
Team Development & Motivation: Facilitate career growth, succession planning, and technical skill enhancement.
SMART Objectives & Mentorship: Set performance goals, manage pay-for-performance culture, and mentor on industry trends.
Project Management: Oversee short- and long-term projects, ensuring effective execution with Data Management teams.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with leadership and key stakeholders across regions.
Innovation & Process Optimization: Promote Lean and automation strategies to enhance efficiency and address content gaps.
Deadline & Compliance Management: Ensure timely execution of workflows, KPIs, and project milestones while addressing challenges.
Organizational Leadership: Uphold and promote company values, culture, and strategic vision within the equity and debt rounds of funding team .
Team Coordination & Support: Oversee daily operations, optimize resources, and ensure team alignment with broader objectives are met in alignment with the overall goals of the rounds of funding team.
What We are Looking For:
Leadership Experience: Proven leadership in financial data services, with expertise in team management. Background in investment banking or asset management is a plus.
Market Insight: Deep understanding of equity and debt rounds of funding across alternate asset classes , with the ability to analyse industry trends for strategic decision-making.
Independent Management & Multitasking: Comfortable working autonomously while effectively handling multiple priorities from various stakeholders.
Goal-Oriented Approach: Focused on achieving objectives and delivering measurable results with a strong sense of accountability.
Operational Expertise: Skilled in operational management with attention to detail in capturing equity and debt rounds of funding across alternate asset classes .
Performance Metrics: Experience in setting and monitoring KPIs to assess team and project success.
Coaching & Feedback: Strong ability to give and receive constructive feedback while mentoring team members.
Ethical Integrity: Commitment to high ethical standards, ensuring transparency and trust.
Autonomous Work Capability: Self-sufficient in managing tasks with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualification:
Over 5 years of experience collaborating with senior leadership teams to drive strategic initiatives and support high-level decision-making processes. Expertise in building and maintaining long-term, trust-based relationships with business heads, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes for S&P and our content partners. Proven success in leading cross-functional teams and developing innovative strategies to address complex business challenges and deliver on key performance goals. Strong communicator with a strategic mindset, able to influence and negotiate effectively with senior executives to achieve business objectives . Demonstrated success in expanding and leveraging professional networks to enhance business opportunities and support organizational growth. Ability to analyse and utilize data-driven insights to inform business strategies, with proficiency in SQL and Generative AI to optimize workflows and decision-making. Familiar with visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI, applying data insights to improve reporting and drive business intelligence efforts. Certified Green Belt with hands-on experience in Lean methodologies, utilizing continuous improvement techniques to streamline operations and increase efficiencies. Adapt at fostering a collaborative team environment, coaching and mentoring team members to drive performance and professional development. Committed to driving innovation by staying abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the industry and applying them to improve business processes and outcomes.
