Job Overview:

Zonal Sales Manager (ZSM)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Leadership & Strategy:

  • Drive Sales Growth:

    Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets for the DSA network within the assigned zone.
  • Regional Sales Management:

    Oversee the performance of multiple regions within the zone and ensure the sales team meets or exceeds sales goals.
  • Sales Target Achievement:

    Ensure that all DSAs meet their sales targets by implementing corrective actions and driving performance improvements where needed.
  • Market Expansion:

    Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities in the region to expand the DSA network and increase market share.

2. DSA Network Management:

  • Recruitment & Onboarding:

    Identify, recruit, and onboard new DSAs in the zone, ensuring that the team has the right mix of skills and resources.
  • DSA Support & Relationship Management:

    Provide ongoing support, guidance, and training to DSAs to optimize their performance and enhance sales results.
  • Relationship Building:

    Establish and maintain strong relationships with key DSA partners, brokers, and channel partners, ensuring consistent communication and collaboration.
  • Performance Monitoring:

    Regularly monitor DSA performance, provide coaching, and implement action plans for improvement to ensure high productivity.

3. Team Leadership & Development:

  • Team Management:

    Lead and manage a team of Sales Managers and DSA executives across the zone, ensuring high levels of motivation and engagement.
  • Training & Development:

    Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the knowledge, skills, and capabilities of the DSA team and ensure they are equipped to sell the product effectively.
  • Performance Evaluation:

    Perform regular performance appraisals for team members and provide feedback for growth and improvement.
  • Incentive & Motivation Programs:

    Design and implement incentive programs to motivate DSAs and ensure alignment with organizational sales objectives.

4. Sales Reporting & Analytics:

  • Sales Forecasting:

    Prepare accurate and detailed sales forecasts for the region, aligning them with the company’s overall targets and growth plans.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:

    Monitor, analyze, and report on sales performance, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Actionable Insights:

    Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on sales data and market insights to enhance overall sales effectiveness.

5. Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis:

  • Market Research:

    Continuously analyze the market and customer needs to identify opportunities for new product offerings and sales strategies.
  • Competitive Analysis:

    Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and product offerings to adjust sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge in the market.

6. Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Compliance Oversight:

    Ensure that all DSA operations comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management:

    Identify potential risks associated with DSA partnerships and sales activities and take proactive measures to mitigate them.



Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. MBA in Sales/Marketing is preferred.
  • Experience:

    Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in managing DSA channels or direct sales teams, preferably in financial services and home loans.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing a large DSA network.
