Web Manager Role

Role Overview

The Web Manager will own Biocon and Biocon Biologics’ global website ecosystem across biocon.com, bioconbiologics.com, and all emerging microsites. This role blends technical depth, governance, compliance, and cross-functional leadership. The manager will oversee multi-CMS environments (WPBakery, Elementor), support an upcoming platform migration, and ensure the websites meet global standards across performance, security, data privacy, accessibility, and regulatory compliance.

Website Strategy and Ecosystem Roadmap.

• Own the roadmap for all Biocon digital properties, including legacy sites on Azure and new builds on WordPress/Elementor.

• Own the governance for both multisite clusters and standalone microsites.

• Define long-term consolidation and migration plans, including CMS upgrades, redesign cycles, and platform evaluations.

• Shape global information architecture, taxonomy, URL structures, and content lifecycle management.

• Ensure consistent design systems, templates, performance standards, and brand alignment across properties.

Content Management

• Build, edit, and update pages across WPBakery, Elementor, and future CMS platforms.

• Create and manage templates, new sections, landing pages, and microsites.

• Ensure design fidelity to Figma and brand standards across all devices.

• Manage multilingual and localized content with strong governance and documentation.

Technical Operations & Infrastructure Oversight

• Oversee hosting environments (Azure, Hostinger) including uptime, performance SLAs, CDN setup, caching, server logs, and infrastructure coordination with IT.

• Manage plugin lifecycle, updates, compatibility checks, and rollback plans across multiple sites.

• Lead security hardening: SSL lifecycle, bot protection, penetration testing coordination, patching, and vulnerability monitoring.

• Own backup and restore workflows, disaster recovery processes, and change management logs.

Compliance, Privacy & Regulatory Requirements

• Ensure adherence to GDPR, DPDP, and other global data privacy laws across all forms, tracking, cookies, and data storage workflows.

• Maintain compliant workflows for medical/legal/regulatory approvals, version control, and audit readiness for all published content.

• Oversee consent frameworks, data minimization, Tag Manager governance, and cookie banner configurations.

SEO & Performance Optimization

• Lead technical and on-page SEO: Core Web Vitals, structured data, metadata, internal linking, redirects, and crawl health.

• Manage ongoing audits for speed, accessibility, security, and SEO integrity.

• Implement optimizations across code, images, scripts, caching layers, and CDN architecture.

Analytics, Tracking

• Own GA4, GSC, GTM, SEMrush, and enterprise analytics stack.

• Govern tag hygiene, pixel implementations, tracking documentation, and data accuracy.

• Run A/B tests, navigation experiments, personalization tests, and behavioral insight programs.

• Build dashboards and report insights to leadership.

Internationalization & Localization

• Manage global site launches, multilingual deployments, and region-specific compliance requirements.

• Coordinate closely with markets for local updates, approvals, and publication workflows.

• Ensure accurate regional routing, hreflang logic, and localized content architecture.

Microsite & Multisite Architecture Management

Project, Vendor & Stakeholder Leadership

• Lead end-to-end web projects with design, content, product, IT, CRM, legal, and global market teams.

• Manage agencies and developers, ensuring quality, timelines, and documentation.

• Maintain risk logs, QA cycles, and phased rollout plans.

Quality Assurance

• Oversee structured QA for every release: mobile/desktop, browsers, accessibility, performance, tracking, plugin conflicts, and regression checks.

• Ensure pixel-perfect builds and high reliability across devices and markets.

AI & Automation

• Use AI to accelerate workflows in SEO, reporting, QA checks, content structuring, prototyping, and technical audits.

Qualifications

• 8 to 12 years managing mid-to-large scale corporate websites, preferably in B2B, healthcare, regulated industries, or global brands.

• Strong command of WordPress (WPBakery, Elementor), Webflow, multisite setups, and microsite architecture.

• Hands-on experience editing, building, and deploying pages independently.

• Practical understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript/jQuery.

• Deep knowledge of GDPR, DPDP, global data privacy regulations, and compliant tracking practices.

• Proven expertise in technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, accessibility standards (WCAG), and performance optimization.

• Experience with GA4, GSC, GTM, and A/B testing frameworks.

• Familiarity with Azure hosting, server operations, CDNs, caching layers, and security protocols.

• Experience leading cross-functional teams, agencies, and multi-market workflows.

• Ability to manage documentation, SOPs, governance frameworks, and long-term digital programs.

• Comfort with design tools like Figma and Canva for prototyping.
