Key Responsibilities:

1) MIS, Analytics & Costing

  • Design, publish, and automate daily/weekly/monthly SCM dashboards: inventory ageing, stock movement, GRN/issue trends, dispatch OTIF (On-Time In-Full), freight cost per ton/unit, and warehouse efficiency.
  • Perform costing analyses: landed cost, variance analysis (standard vs. actual), cost allocation across routes/customers/SKUs, and cost-to-serve models.
  • Maintain data quality controls: master data integrity (SKU, UOM, bin/zone), reconciliation routines, exception reporting, and audit trails.
  • Build predictive insights (e.g., stockout risk, replenishment triggers, slow/non-moving inventory, safety stock breaches).

2) Inventory & Stock Governance

  • Lead cycle counts and periodic/annual physical stock counts; reconcile system vs. physical; publish shrinkage, damages, and root-cause corrective actions.
  • Implement Inventory Accuracy SOPs: ABC classification, storage logic, FIFO/FEFO adherence, put-away & picking verification, and variance thresholds.
  • Monitor inventory health: ageing, obsolescence, blocked stock, rework/returns, and ensure financial provisions are aligned with Finance.

3) Dispatch & Logistics Coordination

  • Plan and arrange vehicles for dispatch: load consolidation, route planning, transporter coordination, driver scheduling, and documentation readiness (e.g., e-way bill, invoice, LR).
  • Track dispatch execution: OTIF, transit time, POD (proof of delivery) closure, and exception handling (delays, damages, re-routing).
  • Optimize freight utilization: load factor improvement, lane-wise rate benchmarking, backhaul opportunities, and claims management with transporters.

4) Process Excellence & Compliance

  • Standardize and continually improve SCM SOPs: GRN, binning, picking, packing, staging, loading, dispatch, and returns (RMA).
  • Ensure compliance with GST/e-way bill, company policies, safety norms, and audit preparedness (internal/external).
  • Champion automation: macros/Power Query/Power BI reports; reduce manual touchpoints; increase repeatability and accuracy.

Tools & Systems

  • MS Excel (Advanced): Pivot, Power Query, Power Pivot, nested formulas, data validation; basic VBA/Macros for reporting automation.
  • BI Tools: Power BI/Tableau for interactive dashboards with scheduled refresh and row-level security.
  • ERP/WMS/TMS: SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics or equivalent (MM, SD, WM modules); Transport Management System for dispatch & freight.
  • Database: Basic SQL for querying ERP/WMS tables and data reconciliation.
  • Collaboration: SharePoint/Teams for SOPs, version-controlled templates, and audit logs.

Core Competencies

  • Analytical Rigor: Ability to translate operational noise into actionable metrics and insights.
  • Operational Ownership: Hands-on with counting, reconciliation, and dispatch execution.
  • Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with Production, Sales, Finance, Warehouse, and Transporters.
  • Process Orientation: Document, standardize, and enforce SOPs; drive corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Detail Orientation & Integrity: High accuracy in numbers, documentation, and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Logistics/Commerce/Business Administration or related field.
  • 4+ years in SCM operations with strong MIS/reporting, inventory control, and logistics coordination experience.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have
