ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dynamic Sales and Operations Manager to drive business growth while ensuring seamless operational execution across our BSFL-based product portfolio. This role combines strategic sales leadership with operational excellence to expand our market presence in sustainable animal feed and organic fertilizer sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing key client relationships, and optimizing our production and distribution operations.
KEY SALES RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development and Lead Generation
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in aquaculture, poultry, pet food, and organic farming sectors
- Build and maintain relationships with feed manufacturers, farms, food producers, and distributors
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends in sustainable protein and organic fertilizer markets
- Develop strategic partnerships with key industry players and supply chain partners
- Generate qualified leads through networking, trade shows, industry events, and digital marketing
Client Relationship Management
- Manage existing client relationships and ensure high customer satisfaction levels
- Conduct regular client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements with key accounts
- Handle customer inquiries, technical support, and resolve any service issues
- Develop long-term strategic relationships with major clients in target industries
Product Sales and Market Expansion
- Promote BSFL-based products including high-protein animal feed (60%+ protein) and organic fertilizer
- Educate clients on benefits of BSFL products for aquaculture, poultry, and pet food applications
- Develop sales presentations highlighting sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and performance benefits
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for all product lines
- Expand market reach across Madhya Pradesh and neighboring states
KEY OPERATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES
Production and Supply Chain Management
- Oversee BSFL production processes from waste input to final product output
- Ensure consistent quality standards for protein content, nutritional value, and safety parameters
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods
- Coordinate with suppliers for organic waste feedstock and production materials
- Optimize production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements
Quality Control and Compliance
- Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols for BSFL production
- Ensure compliance with food safety, animal feed regulations, and organic fertilizer standards
- Conduct regular quality checks on protein content, nutritional composition, and contamination levels
- Manage documentation for regulatory compliance and customer requirements
- Coordinate with third-party testing laboratories for product certification
Logistics and Distribution
- Manage order processing, packaging, and shipping operations
- Coordinate transportation and delivery schedules with logistics partners
- Ensure timely delivery of products to customers across different geographical locations
- Optimize distribution costs while maintaining service quality
- Handle export documentation and international shipping requirements if applicable
Process Improvement and Efficiency
- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and reduce operational costs
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and waste reduction initiatives
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for production, quality, and customer service
- Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance operational effectiveness
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all operational processes
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Agricultural Sciences, Biotechnology, or related field
- Master's degree in relevant field preferred
- Minimum 5-7 years of combined sales and operations experience
- Experience in agricultural products, animal feed, or sustainable technology sectors preferred
- Knowledge of aquaculture, poultry farming, or organic agriculture advantageous
Sales and Marketing Skills
- Proven track record in B2B sales with achievement of sales targets
- Experience in consultative selling and technical product sales
- Strong negotiation and contract management abilities
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
