Job Description

We are seeking an experienced procurement manager to manage vendor relationships, identify and onboard new suppliers, and lead price negotiation and cost optimization initiatives. The role ensures timely procurement of quality materials at competitive rates while aligning sourcing strategies with company objectives. Key Responsibilities Vendor Management Manage and maintain relationships with existing vendors and suppliers Evaluate vendor performance on price, quality, delivery, and service Resolve vendor-related issues including pricing, delays, and quality concerns Conduct periodic vendor reviews and renegotiate commercial terms New Vendor Development Identify, research, and onboard new vendors to improve cost, quality, and supply reliability Develop alternate sourcing options to reduce dependency and risk Conduct market surveys and benchmarking to compare rates and products Ensure proper vendor documentation and compliance Rate Negotiation & Cost Control: Lead rate negotiations to achieve best pricing and commercial terms Analyze cost structures and market trends to support negotiations Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality Finalize contracts, rate agreements, and price revisions Procurement Operations Prepare, review, and approve Purchase Orders (POs) Ensure timely procurement as per business and project requirements Coordinate with stores, production, sales, projects, and finance teams Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimum stock availability Compliance & Reporting Ensure adherence to procurement policies and GST & statutory requirements Maintain accurate procurement records and MIS reports Track savings, vendor performance, and procurement efficiency Support audits and management reporting Key Skills & Competencies Strong vendor management and negotiation skills Ability to identify and develop new suppliers Cost analysis and market intelligence Knowledge of GST, contracts, and procurement documentation Proficiency in ERP / SAP / Tally / MS Excel Excellent communication and coordination skills Educational Qualification Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, Engineering, or Management MBA / PG Diploma in Supply Chain Management (preferred) Experience Requirements 6–10 years of experience in procurement Proven experience in vendor development and rate negotiation Industry experience in furniture, interior design, manufacturing, retail, or construction preferred
