Job Summary: The Purchase and Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring cost-effective sourcing of goods and services, maintaining supplier relationships, and optimizing supply chain efficiency. This role combines strategic procurement planning with operational purchasing activities to support business objectives. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Procurement: Develop and implement procurement strategies to reduce costs while maintaining quality. Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers/vendors through a structured selection process. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to achieve cost savings. Monitor market trends and adjust procurement strategies accordingly. 2. Purchasing & Order Management: Oversee the purchase requisition-to-pay (P2P) process . Ensure timely purchase order (PO) issuance , delivery tracking, and invoice reconciliation. Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock. 3. Supplier & Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships for long-term partnerships. Conduct supplier performance reviews (quality, delivery, pricing). Resolve supply chain disruptions and find alternative sources if needed. 4. Compliance & Cost Control: Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies & legal regulations . Implement cost-saving initiatives (bulk buying, vendor discounts, process improvements). Prepare and manage the procurement budget . 5. Reporting & Analytics: Track and report on procurement KPIs (savings, lead times, supplier performance). Qualifications & Skills: Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field . 5+ years in procurement/purchasing, with 2+ years in a managerial role . Experience with e-procurement tools (SAP Ariba, Zycus) is a plus.
