Procurement Executive

The Procurement Executive is responsible for sourcing and purchasing packaging materials, consumables, and services required for FMCG packing operations. The role ensures uninterrupted material supply, cost optimization, quality compliance, and effective vendor management in line with production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure primary and secondary packaging materials (pouches, cartons, bottles, labels, caps, films, etc.)
• Source and develop reliable vendors for packaging materials and services
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and payment terms to achieve cost efficiency
• Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders
• Coordinate with production and planning teams to forecast material requirements
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent stock-outs or overstocking
• Ensure materials comply with quality, food safety, and regulatory standards
• Follow up on deliveries and resolve quantity or quality discrepancies
• Maintain procurement records, contracts, and vendor databases
• Support audits and ensure compliance with company procurement policies

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of FMCG packaging materials and procurement processes
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
• Ability to analyze costs and optimize procurement spend
• Good communication and coordination abilities
• Knowledge of inventory control and supply chain basics
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP / SAP systems

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field
• Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management is an advantage

Experience

• 2–5 years of procurement experience, preferably in FMCG packing or manufacturing units

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
