PMS & AIF Operations Lead (Asset Management Company)

A SEBI-registered asset management company with a strong presence in Portfolio Management Services (PMS) and Alternate Investment Funds (AIFs). We manage bespoke investment solutions for HNI and institutional clients with a focus on transparency, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance. As we expand our PMS/AIF book, we are seeking a seasoned operations professional with end-to-end experience across the investment lifecycle to drive efficiency and scalability.

Role Overview

The Senior PMS & AIF Operations Lead will serve as the operational backbone of our PMS and AIF businesses, ensuring seamless coordination across front, mid, and back-office functions. This role demands deep domain knowledge of discretionary and non-discretionary PMS, AIF structures , and a hands-on understanding of trade lifecycle, compliance workflows, client reporting, and reconciliation processes. The ideal candidate is a Wealth Spectrum power user with a proven ability to bridge business needs with operational execution in a regulated AMC environment.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End PMS & AIF Operations Management:

• Oversee the full trade lifecycle—from order initiation and execution (front office) through risk checks and compliance validation (mid-office) to settlement, reconciliation, and NAV calculation (back office).
• Ensure accurate and timely client reporting, including portfolio statements, performance attribution, and tax-related documentation in line with SEBI PMS Regulations and AIF Guidelines.
• Manage client onboarding, KYC/AML documentation, and mandate agreements in coordination with compliance and legal teams.

Wealth Spectrum & Systems Expertise:

• Serve as the primary super-user and functional expert for Wealth Spectrum—managing portfolio setups, fee calculations, model rebalancing, client dashboards, and regulatory reporting modules.
• Liaise with vendors for system enhancements, troubleshooting, and integration with custodians, brokers, and RTAs.
• Drive process automation and data integrity within the platform.

Compliance & Controls:

• Implement and monitor internal controls to prevent breaches of SEBI PMS Regulations, AIF Regulations, and internal investment guidelines.
• Support audits (internal/external) and regulatory inspections with accurate records and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to segregation of duties, trade surveillance protocols, and best execution practices.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Partner closely with Portfolio Managers, Relationship Managers, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Custodians to resolve operational issues and enhance service delivery.
• Act as the escalation point for complex client or operational queries related to PMS/AIF accounts.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience in financial services, with at least 5 years exclusively in PMS and/or AIF operations within a SEBI-registered asset management company.
• Functional Exposure: Demonstrated hands-on experience across front, mid, and back-office operations for PMS/AIF—covering trading, risk, settlements, reconciliations, billing, and client servicing.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Wealth Spectrum is mandatory. Familiarity with other systems (e.g., Bloomberg, NSE/BSE platforms, custodial portals) is a plus.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of SEBI (Portfolio Managers) Regulations, AIF Regulations, FEMA requirements.
• Education: Graduate in Finance, Commerce, or related field; professional certifications (CFA, CA, CMT, or CISA) are advantageous.
• Location: Must be based in Mumbai or able to work on-site with immediate availability.

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
