Position Overview:

The Manager – Finance oversees key financial operations including billing, receivables, COD controls, bank reconciliations, and vendor payments. The role ensures accuracy of financial data, compliance with company policies, and seamless coordination with cross-functional teams. It also drives process improvements and system automation to enhance efficiency.

Job Purpose:

To ensure accurate and compliant execution of billing, receivables, COD reconciliation, and payment processes. To maintain strong financial controls, resolve discrepancies promptly, and support audits. To drive automation and efficiency across financial operations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Billing Controls
  • Set up and update billing profiles in ERP systems (SAP/Navision/Billing tools) to enable timely invoicing and collections.
  • Maintain accurate customer billing profiles and master data.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and local tax regulations (GST, TDS etc.).
  • Coordinate with Revenue & Operations teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Liaise with IT teams to address and close billing-related issues.
  • Monitor billing cycles and update profiles for changes in payment terms, currency, or customer requirements.
  • Reconcile billing data interfaces with financial systems and resolve gaps.
  • Drive system development and automation for billing processes.
Receivables Management
  • Monitor accounts receivable ageing reports and follow up on overdue payments.
  • Engage with regions, sales teams, and clients via calls, emails, and reminders.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Address disputes or short payments in coordination with internal teams.
  • Generate AR reports for management review.
  • Track KPIs such as DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and prepare monthly MIS for visibility.
COD Process, Bank Reconciliation & Vendor Payments
  • Monitor and reconcile daily COD collections from delivery operations.
  • Validate COD remittances against shipment data and ensure accurate ERP postings.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between COD receipts and system records.
  • Coordinate with operations and customer service for COD-related queries.
  • Prepare periodic COD reports for management.
  • Review monthly bank reconciliations and ensure timely closure of reconciling items.
  • Ensure batch payment processes for COD and vendor payments.
Other Key Areas
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors for IFC and statutory audits.
  • Active involvement & taking responsibility for changes in accounting software.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of accounting principles and audit processes.
  • Manage deadlines effectively and multitask across priorities.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and coordination skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:
  • Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA in Finance.
Experience:
  • 7–8 years in Finance.
  • Expertise in SAP, Navision & AP/AR processes.
