Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and business-savvy Senior Analytics Consultant to lead the design and delivery of data-driven solutions. This role requires deep expertise in BI tools, data modeling, and stakeholder engagement to transform complex business requirements into scalable analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Interact with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their data visualization and business intelligence needs.
- Engage with customers to understand business challenges and requirements and translate them into actionable data and reporting solutions through effective communication and consulting skills.
- Excellent problem solving and data interpretation skills. Solutioning end to end data and reporting business requirements with high level of efficiency and well-defined best practices.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau/Power BI dashboards and reports to support diverse business requirements.
- Ensure visualizations are performance-optimized, scalable, and aligned with business KPIs.
- Lead migration efforts between Tableau and Power BI, ensuring feature parity and optimized design.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries in Amazon Redshift, Azure Synapse and other data platforms.
- Strong understanding of Amazon S3 data offerings including storage classes, partitioning strategies, lifecycle policies, and integration with analytics services.
- Ability to consult customers on the comparative benefits of Amazon Redshift vs. S3, guiding them on when to use S3 for cost-effective storage and when to leverage Redshift for high-performance analytics.
- Provide consulting on S3 data modelling best practices (e.g., file formats, partitioning, schema design) to ensure data is structured in a way that supports efficient query building and analytics.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to design data access patterns that enable scalable and performant querying from S3 through Redshift, Athena, or other BI tools.
- Support Tableau Server configuration, permissions, and folder management.
- Assist with monitoring server health, user access, job scheduling, and performance optimization.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 6–8 years of relevant experience in BI development, analytics consulting, or data engineering.
- Proven hands-on experience in Power BI and Tableau report/dashboard development.
- Proficiency in SQL and working with large datasets from sources like Redshift, SQL Server, Azure Synapse, or S3.
- Solid understanding of visualization principles and ability to present data in a clear, impactful way.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Tableau Server administration and performance optimization is a plus.
