Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on IT Manager to oversee and manage the hardware, software, and IT infrastructure of our retail business. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth day-to-day operations across stores, warehouses, and the head office, while also implementing scalable IT solutions to support business growth and digital transformation. Key Responsibilities 1. IT Infrastructure & Hardware Management - Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, POS systems, desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and networking devices. - Ensure system uptime and smooth functioning of IT hardware across all retail outlets and warehouses. - Monitor and manage data backup systems, storage, and disaster recovery processes. 2. Software & Applications Management - Manage retail ERP, billing/POS software, inventory management systems, and other business-critical applications. - Liaise with software vendors for updates, troubleshooting, and integration of new features. - Ensure compliance and licensing of all software being used across the organization. 3. IT Security & Compliance - Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols, firewalls, and antivirus systems. - Safeguard company data and ensure compliance with IT policies and data protection regulations. - Regularly conduct audits and risk assessments. 4. IT Support & Troubleshooting - Provide technical support to staff across multiple locations. - Establish ticketing/helpdesk systems for quick resolution of hardware/software issues. - Train employees on IT policies, software usage, and data security best practices. 5. Project & Vendor Management - Manage IT projects such as system upgrades, store opening setups, and technology rollouts. - Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with IT vendors, internet providers, and software partners. - Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and customer experience. Qualifications & Skills - Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Masters preferred). 10+ years of IT experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role (preferably in retail/FMCG). - Strong knowledge of retail ERP/POS systems, networking, cloud platforms, and IT security. - Hands-on experience with hardware, system administration, and troubleshooting. - Excellent problem-solving, vendor management, and communication skills. - Ability to manage multi-location IT operations in a fast-paced retail environment.
