InformaticaDG/DQ – Sr. Data Engineer, DT-US PxE DnA

The Informatica DG/DQ – Sr. Data Engineer is an integral part of the Data Quality and Data Governance engineering team focused on implementing data quality and governance solutions as part of US Data Strategy initiative. Requires expertise in data integration, data quality, data governance, and experience with Informatica platform solutions.

Work you will do

This is a unique opportunity to be a part of growing data operations and enterprise controls team that works on new and existing high-end data management platforms within Deloitte. You will be responsible for leading, development, implementation, and support of Informatica solutions to support organizational data quality and data governance capabilities in a complex hybrid, multi-cloud environment. Responsibilities include:

• Understanding the business rules and sourcing data from multiple source systems

  • Plan and lead Data Quality & Data Governance requirement analysis sessions with business users
  • Data Profiling and Analysis: Conduct data profiling to understand data patterns, anomalies, and quality issues. Analyze data quality metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Data Quality Rule Development: Develop and implement data quality rules, checks, and transformations using Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) tools. Create reusable data quality rules and mappings to ensure consistency across different data sources.
  • Data Cleansing and Standardization: Design and execute data cleansing processes to correct and standardize data. Implement data enrichment techniques to enhance data quality.
  • Data Quality Monitoring and Reporting: Set up data quality monitoring dashboards and reports to track data quality metrics. Generate regular data quality reports and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with business analysts, data stewards, and other stakeholders to understand data quality requirements. Collaborate with IT teams to integrate data quality solutions into existing data workflows.
  • Issue Resolution and Root Cause Analysis: Identify and resolve data quality issues in a timely manner. Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring data quality problems.
  • Documentation and Best Practices: Document data quality processes, rules, and standards. Develop and maintain best practices for data quality management.
  • Data Governance Framework Implementation: Design and implement data governance frameworks using Informatica CDGC and CDMP (Marketplace). Develop policies, procedures, and standards for data governance.
  • Metadata Management: Utilize Informatica Metadata Manager to capture, manage, and analyze metadata. Ensure metadata is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Data Lineage and Impact Analysis: Implement data lineage tracking to understand data flow across systems. Conduct impact analysis to assess the effects of changes in data sources or processes.
  • Data Cataloging and Discovery: Use Informatica CDGC to create and maintain a comprehensive data catalog. Facilitate data discovery and access for business users.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to apply technology solutions to solve business problems.
  • Automated/Scheduled the cloud jobs to run daily with email notifications for any failures and Timeout errors

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business Information Systems or MCA or equivalent degree.

Qualifications:

  • 6-8 years of experience with data integration/quality/governance technologies such as Informatica IDMC CDI, CAI, CDQ, CDGC and CDMP (Marketplace).
  • Proficiency in Data Governance tools, including Informatica Metadata Manager, Informatica CDGC and Informatica CDMP (Marketplace).
  • Strong in writing complex SQL queries, procedures etc. using MS SQL Server database.
  • Experience with data profiling, cleansing, and standardization techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance principles and best practices.
  • Experience with metadata management, data lineage, and impact analysis.
  • Experience with enterprise level data analysis and integration work and/or providing data focused systems integration solutions
  • Should be able to manage customer & other technical stakeholders & support engineers
  • Should be able to lead the team along with other technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking skills, as well as communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex business concepts in non-technical terms.
  • Experience in Technical delivery using Agile Methodologies.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in delivery of new products or services.
  • Strong collaboration skills and self-motivated, taking ownership of deliverables and responsibilities.
  • Strong systems and application delivery ability.
