About the Role

We are seeking a data-driven Performance Marketer with proven 0-to-1 D2C brand building experience to lead our digital acquisition efforts and drive profitable growth. You will be a foundational member of our team, owning the full funnel performance marketing strategy from ground up-establishing our digital presence, building scalable acquisition channels, and creating the playbook for sustainable growth. This role requires someone who has successfully launched and scaled a D2C brand from scratch and thrives in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.


Key Responsibilities


0-to-1 Brand Building & Launch

  • Build performance marketing infrastructure from scratch including pixel implementation, analytics setup, and tracking frameworks

  • Establish first customer acquisition channels and identify product-market-channel fit

  • Create initial customer acquisition playbook and standard operating procedures

  • Launch brand's first paid campaigns and establish baseline metrics and benchmarks

  • Build relationships with platform representatives and secure beta access to new features


Paid Media Management

  • Plan, execute, and optimize paid campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, Google Ads, YouTube, and emerging platforms

  • Manage substantial monthly advertising budgets with accountability for ROAS and CAC targets

  • Develop audience segmentation strategies and create targeted campaigns for different customer personas

  • Conduct A/B testing on ad creatives, copy, landing pages, and audience targeting

  • Scale winning campaigns while maintaining or improving efficiency metrics


Analytics & Optimization

  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics including CTR, CPC, conversion rates, ROAS, and LTV: CAC ratios

  • Build and maintain performance dashboards and reporting frameworks

  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify optimization opportunities and growth levers

  • Implement proper tracking and attribution models using Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, and other tools

  • Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for campaign improvement


Growth Strategy

  • Develop and execute comprehensive performance marketing strategies aligned with business goals

  • Identify and test new channels, platforms, and marketing opportunities

  • Collaborate with creative team to develop high-performing ad creatives and messaging

  • Optimize the customer journey from awareness to conversion

  • Work cross-functionally with product, CRM, and operations teams to improve conversion rates


Budget & ROI Management

  • Own P&L responsibility for performance marketing spend

  • Forecast, allocate, and manage marketing budgets across channels

  • Continuously improve customer acquisition efficiency and unit economics

  • Present performance reports and strategic recommendations to leadership


Conversion Rate Optimization

  • Partner with web/UX team to optimize landing pages and conversion funnels

  • Run experiments to improve on-site conversion rates and average order value

  • Implement strategies to reduce cart abandonment and improve checkout completion


Required Qualifications


Experience

  • 4-6 years of hands-on performance marketing experience with at least 1-2 years in scaling early stage D2C brands (0-to-1 phase)

  • Experience taking a brand from initial launch to ₹5 Cr + monthly revenue

  • Demonstrated success in establishing profitable acquisition channels with limited initial budgets

  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to build processes from ground zero

  • Track record of finding creative, cost-effective growth hacks during early stage


Technical Skills

  • Expert-level proficiency in Meta Ads Manager (Facebook/Instagram)

  • Strong command of Google Ads (Search, Display, Shopping, Performance Max)

  • Proficiency with Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking

  • Experience with marketing analytics tools (Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar)

  • Understanding of pixel implementation, UTM parameters, and attribution modeling

  • Familiarity with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms


Analytical Abilities

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data

  • Excel/Google Sheets proficiency for data analysis and reporting

  • Comfort with SQL or data visualization tools is a plus

  • Understanding of statistics, experiment design, and incrementality testing


Strategic Thinking

  • Deep understanding of D2C customer acquisition funnels and lifecycles

  • Knowledge of performance marketing best practices and industry benchmarks

  • Ability to balance short-term performance with long-term brand building

  • Creative problem-solving approach to growth challenges


Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience as first or founding marketer at a D2C startup

  • Experience launching brands across multiple categories or geographies

  • Previous experience in startups that achieved significant scale.

  • Strong case studies or portfolio demonstrating 0-to-1 journey with metrics

  • Experience with additional channels: Snapchat, Amazon Advertising, affiliate marketing, or influencer partnerships

  • Knowledge of marketing automation and CRM tools (Klaviyo, Clevertap, MoEngage, Odoo)

  • Understanding of retention marketing and lifecycle campaigns

  • Experience in specific verticals (fashion, beauty, health, consumer goods, etc.)

  • Certification in Google Ads and/or Meta Blueprint

  • Background in growth hacking, marketplace launches, or DTC brands

Success Metrics (First 90 Days)

  • Successfully launch and establish 2-3 primary acquisition channels with positive unit economics

  • Set up complete analytics infrastructure and tracking framework

  • Achieve first profitable customer acquisition campaigns (ROAS > 2x or as per target)

  • Establish baseline metrics, benchmarks, and reporting dashboards

  • Build initial marketing playbook with documented learnings and SOPs

  • Run minimum 5-10 rapid experiments to identify scalable growth levers

  • Establish vendor relationships and negotiate favorable platform terms

Office-based role - Gurgaon office

This is a full-time, in-office position. Given the early-stage nature of the brand and need for close collaboration, we require daily presence in the office.
