Job Description

ROLEWe're looking for an exceptional and seasoned Head of Technology Operations to lead our "Run" pillar from GDC Technology Solutions team (GTS). This is a critical leadership role that combines strategic partnership with operational excellence, overseeing the support and maintenance of our firm’s diverse application portfolio, its underlying infrastructure, and the core DevOps practices that power our operations.This is a high-impact position managing the support for our entire application landscape, including enterprise-level applications used by over 90,000 audit professionals globally, as well as a mix of modern Azure-based, legacy, and AI-driven systems. This role will require close collaboration with our global leadership team to shape and implement our overarching technology strategy and policies.

Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Leadership:Develop and execute the long-term strategy for the Run pillar within the GDC. This includes application support, infrastructure management, infrastructure deployments and application deployments.Collaborate with global leadership to align operational goals with firm-wide policies and strategic initiatives.

Application & Infrastructure Oversight:

Oversee the support and maintenance of a complex portfolio that includes enterprise-level applications, legacy systems, and cutting-edge Azure-based and AI applications.Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of the underlying infrastructure that supports a global user base of over 90,000 professionals.

Roles & Responsibilities

Vendor and Partner Management: Manage and grow our relationships with key vendor partners, ensuring they meet rigorous Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contractual obligations for a global, enterprise-scale environment.Project & Initiative Management: Lead key projects within the Run pillar, such as application modernization, cloud migration to Azure, and the integration of new technologies, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Incident and Problem Management: Act as a point of escalation for critical incidents affecting the global user base, ensuring timely resolution and comprehensive root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.People and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of internal engineers and analysts. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional growth in a complex, fast-paced environment.AI Operations & Maintenance: Develop and implement operational best practices for maintaining and supporting AI applications, ensuring model performance, data integrity, and ethical use.

DevOps & Automation:

Drive the adoption and maturity of DevOps practices across the organization.Lead efforts in automation, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and infrastructure as code (IaC) to improve efficiency and reduce operational overhead.Process & Metrics: Responsible for managing and optimizing training and operational environments, including data workflows, reporting, and audit application lifecycle across KPMG Clara and related platforms. Lead cloud adoption processes, usage-based recharge reporting, and AI chat data visualization, while ensuring data quality and automation in operational reporting. Oversee hosting strategies, dashboard portfolio ownership, and production control to support seamless transitions and member firm enablement.#KGS

QUALIFICATIONS

This role is for you if you have the below

Educational Qualifications –

A combination of Degree in Engineering and Business management, computer science, data science or related AI field.

Work Experience And Other Requirements

  • 12+ yrs progressive experience in IT/Technology Operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing complex, multi-functional teams. Previous experience within a Global Capability Center (GCC) or similar offshore model is highly preferred.
  • Strong strategic thinking.
  • Excellent storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and change leadership skills.
  • Domain Expertise: A strong background in application support, infrastructure management, and DevOps principles; Solid understanding of ITIL and other best practices.
  • Technical Acumen: Demonstrated expertise in managing Azure-based applications and infrastructure. Experience with legacy system support and a strong understanding of AI operations and maintenance (AIOps) is highly desirable.
  • Scale and Scope: Proven experience managing application and infrastructure support for a large-scale enterprise, preferably with a user base of 50,000+ globally.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage both internal teams and external vendor partners in a high-pressure, globally distributed environment.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Demonstrated experience in working with senior global leadership to influence and execute technology strategy and policy.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the globe.
