Position Summary
Level:
Senior Solution Advisor
Work you’ll do:
- Architect, configure, and enhance ServiceNow HAM modules, defining asset classes, models, lifecycle stages, and granular location management.
- Design and deliver automated workflows for asset intake, inventory management, provisioning, transfers, and retirement using Flow Designer and scripting.
- Integrate HAM with CMDB, ServiceNow Discovery, SCCM, procurement systems, and other enterprise platforms for holistic asset visibility and lifecycle control.
- Enable automated validation and tracking through RFID/barcode solutions, serial number capture, and seamless interface with external tools.
- Collaborate in gathering and analyzing business requirements, translating them into actionable epics, user stories, and workflow diagrams (Visio).
- Lead workshops and training sessions for stakeholders on HAM features, policies, and platform updates.
- Deliver functional and technical documentation supporting asset workflows, policy enforcement, and exception handling.
- Enforce robust asset receiving, tagging, recording, and reconciliation processes to improve reliability, reduce ghost assets, and support audits.
- Conduct regular inventory audits, manage complex stockroom/depot operations, and ensure data integrity across hardware assets and CMDB.
- Develop and maintain business rules, client scripts, integrations, and customizations that drive automation and exception management.
- Design actionable dashboards and reports on asset lifecycle metrics, compliance, utilization, and process performance to enable leadership insights and continuous improvement.
- Analyze asset patterns, utilization rates, and process gaps to recommend optimization opportunities (cost, lifecycle, compliance).
- Act as a techno-functional liaison across procurement, IT operations, cyber risk, and finance to embed HAM best practices into wider governance and transformation initiatives.
- Mentor junior consultants, contribute to HAM playbooks, templates, and best practice accelerators.
The team:
Cyber Strategy & Transformation teams develop and transform cyber programs in line with a client's strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite. They keep the enterprise a step ahead of the evolving threat landscape and give stakeholders confidence in the organization's cyber posture. Services include the design of cyber organization, governance, and risk assessments. Services also encompass Cybersecurity Assessments and Frameworks, Cyber Transformation Management, Technology Software and Asset Compliance Management, Third Party Risk Management, Cyber Risk and Compliance, Solution Design and Implementation, and Cyber Risk Analytics and Quantification Reporting.
Qualifications:
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- 7–9 years' experience in ServiceNow HAM, IT asset management, or related disciplines.
- Proven hands-on expertise with ServiceNow HAM—module configuration, workflow automation, scripting, and system integrations.
- Strong background integrating HAM with CMDB, Discovery, SCCM, and procurement or inventory management platforms.
- Experience automating asset workflows, enforcing tagging/receiving protocols, and tracking assets throughout lifecycle stages.
- Demonstrated capability in business rule authoring, data validation, exception handling, and troubleshooting.
Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- ServiceNow CSA, CIS-HAM, or other HAM/ITAM certifications.
- Knowledge of operating systems, servers, network hardware, and inventory environments.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies for asset management.
- Exposure to RFID/barcode technologies, automation tools, and data analytics.
- Solid Visio, dashboard, and reporting development skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and cross-team collaboration abilities.
- Excellent training, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree + MBA (Preferred)
