Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) to join our growing team in the Electric Vehicle (EV) industry. As a Chartered Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial advice to support the growth and sustainability of our EV initiatives. This role is ideal for professionals looking to work at the intersection of finance and sustainable technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP, etc.).
  • Analyze financial performance, report on key financial metrics, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Assist in budget preparation and forecasting, ensuring financial resources align with business objectives.
  • Taxation & Compliance:

  • Ensure the company complies with local, state, and international tax regulations, including VAT, sales tax, corporate tax, and other applicable taxes.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, and handle audits related to tax matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes affecting the EV industry, and make recommendations for compliance adjustments.
  • Cost Management & Financial Planning:

  • Manage cost accounting functions and analyze cost structures, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in production, supply chain, and operations.
  • Support financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities by reviewing key cost drivers such as R&D, manufacturing, charging infrastructure, and logistics.
  • Cash Flow & Capital Management:

  • Oversee cash flow management, ensuring the company maintains adequate liquidity to fund operations and growth.
  • Assist with capital budgeting and investment decisions, particularly related to the scaling of EV production and infrastructure projects (e.g., charging stations, battery development, etc.).
  • Audit & Internal Controls:

  • Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Reporting:

  • Prepare detailed financial reports for stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and regulatory bodies, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Support strategic decision-making by providing financial insights to management and helping to align financial goals with the company’s vision in the EV industry.
  • Financial Strategy & EV Industry Insights:

  • Contribute to the development of financial strategies that support the company’s long-term goals, including expansion into new markets, new EV product lines, and sustainable practices.
  • Stay informed about trends and financial opportunities within the EV industry, including government incentives, green energy subsidies, and technological innovations.
  • Risk Management:

  • Implement strategies to mitigate financial risks while supporting the company’s growth trajectory.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

     Chartered Accountant (CA) certification from a recognized body. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Experience:

     Min 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the automotive, renewable energy, or manufacturing sectors. Experience in the EV industry or with green technologies is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in financial accounting software (Tally ERP).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial regulations.
  • Experience with financial reporting standards.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills for financial modeling and reporting.
  • Soft Skills:

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data in an understandable manner.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
