Progressing operations team and collaborate closely with UK-based counterparts overseeing Rewarding and Performing and Core HR leading the India teams in those. This role is pivotal in driving service excellence, operational transformation, and strategic alignment across HR delivery. The VP will champion change, embed automation, and strengthen governance and risk frameworks to ensure scalable, compliant, and future-ready Colleague Support. You will manage 60 colleagues including AVPs and Team Managers.
To be successful as a Vice President – Colleague Support (India), you should have experience with, key responsibilities & qualifications:
Service Delivery Excellence
- Drive consistent, high-quality HR service delivery across Progressing, Rewarding and Performing and & Core HR operations with proven global experience.
- Monitor SLAs, CSAT, KPIs, and customer satisfaction metrics to ensure operational efficiency aligned to the EEEC model
- Ideate and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Change & Transformation
- Lead transformation programs end-to-end aligned with CX strategy and coordination with CoE, HR Tech & associated teams delivering future-ready organization design, operating model and optimum staffing levels.
- Embed agile methodologies and change management practices to support adoption.
- Deliver measurable outcomes in process simplification, CX employee experience, and cost optimization.
Automation & Digital Enablement
- Identify automation opportunities across HR processes using data and workflow analysis.
- Partner with HR Tech and Digital teams to implement tools that enhance productivity.
- Track ROI and adoption of digital solutions to ensure sustained impact.
Risk & Governance
- Establish robust controls and compliance mechanisms across Colleague Support.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, audit, and data privacy requirements.
- Report risk indicators and mitigation plans to senior leadership and governance forums.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Collaborate with UK-based VPs to align on global standards and shared services.
- Engage with HRBPs, COEs, and business leaders to understand evolving needs.
- Represent India HR Ops in leadership forums, location and site forums and transformation councils.
People Leadership
- Inspire and develop a high-performing team culture focused on accountability and innovation.
- Coach direct reports and build succession pipelines for critical roles.
- Foster inclusion, wellbeing, and continuous learning across the team.
Key Deliverables
- Meeting with all CX outcomes incl CSAT, SLA adherence and Process Journey scores.
- Successful execution of transformation and automation roadmaps.
- Strengthened internal controls and audit readiness.
- Enhanced collaboration across global HR Ops leadership.
- Development and retention of top Colleague Support talent.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Expertise Required
- Progressive years of experience in HR Service Delivery, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Team management of experience of AVP/Managers of 30+ colleagues.
- Proven track record in leading large-scale HR service delivery and transformation initiatives.
- Experience working in a global matrixed environment and managing cross-functional teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and change leadership skills.
Some Of Highly Valued Skills May Include
- Candidates with experience in Banking / Finance domain preferred.
- Strong understanding of HR systems, automation tools, and governance frameworks. Exposure to Workday and Service Now highly preferred
- Understanding of legal compliance requirements relating to onboarding, payroll & HR core.

Purpose of the role
To deliver HR services and support to Barclays colleagues, candidates, alumni and third-party vendors.
Accountabilities
- Delivery and execution of HR operational activities aligned with people leader and colleague journeys aligned with bank policies and regulations, including performance management, rewards, benefits and learning operations documentation, coordination, and administration.
- On- and offboarding of new employees, (including orientation, documentation, coordination, exit interviews), knowledge transfer performance, rewards, learning operations and related administration.
- Maintenance of colleague personal and reference data in relevant HR information systems, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with data privacy regulations, reporting and analytics.
- Provision of guidance and support on candidate, colleague and alumni queries relating to HR policies, procedures, processes, or guidance.
