Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Support Engineer with a strong background in Oracle FLEXCUBE Administration, along with expertise in Fusion Middleware, WebLogic, SOA Suite, and OBIEE. The candidate will provide L2/L3 production and non-production support, manage critical incidents, maintain high availability, and ensure seamless operation of FLEXCUBE and middleware platforms in a BFSI environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support FLEXCUBE non-production environments and coordinate with DBA/Infra teams.
- Monitor and maintain EOD batch processes to ensure business continuity.
- Troubleshoot application and technical issues across FLEXCUBE, OBPM, and middleware layers.
- Provide database-level support and collaborate with development teams for deployments.
- Monitor transactional data from accounting applications for exceptions using reporting tools.
- Lead and coordinate incident troubleshooting efforts during critical outages.
- Ensure best practices in deployment, performance, and monitoring.
- Promote code and functionality reuse and leverage automation where possible.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and business stakeholders for stable operations.
Skills & Experience
Mandatory Skills – FLEXCUBE Administration
- Minimum 6-8 years of hands-on experience with Oracle FLEXCUBE v12.3 or higher.
- Proficient in FLEXCUBE database design, maintenance, and support.
- Working experience with Oracle Banking Payments Management (OBPM) 14.5 or higher.
- Strong knowledge of FLEXCUBE EOD (End-of-Day) batch operations and environment management.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving FLEXCUBE performance and functional issues.
- Familiarity with supporting complex applications and managing technical escalations.
- Exposure to production support or live implementations in BFSI environments.
- Understanding of accounting transactional workflows in FLEXCUBE.
- Experience in scripting/automation for monitoring and reporting.
- Knowledge of FLEXCUBE integration with third-party applications via web services (SOAP/REST).
- Experience collaborating with geographically distributed teams.
Middleware & Supporting Skills
- WebLogic Administration: Domain setup, cluster configuration, JDBC/JMS tuning, JVM monitoring.
- SOA Suite: Manage and troubleshoot composites, BPEL processes, and service integrations.
- Fusion Middleware: Patch management, log monitoring, performance tuning.
- OBIEE: Repository (RPD) management, BI Publisher reporting, dashboard optimization.
- Proficiency in Oracle Database concepts (RAC, ASM, Data Guard) and SQL tuning.
- Strong Unix/Linux shell scripting for automation and support.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and coordination across business, infra, and vendor teams.
- Ability to work in 24x7 support environments (on-call rotation).
- Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach.
- Customer-oriented and accountable for SLA/KPI adherence.
