MISSION

Quality Engineering Manager is responsible to oversee Quality Engineering functions for the Technical Center. This position is responsible to develop and implement systems and procedures to assure Quality Products are launched through the Development process to Production facilities.

Responsibilities & Activities

Management of Quality Program Engineers

  • Responsible to supervise and develop direct reports. Manages the objective setting process.
  • Promotes and exemplifies lnergy's Global Leadership Model to all associate in support of Inergy’s Global Mission, Values and Objectives.
  • Establish and maintain an effective system of communication and information flow cross-functionally and throughout the company.
  • Actively support the program teams to assure consistent quality metrics are achieved.

INPro program Development

  • Provide Resources
  • Quality Documentation Gate Reviews 一 Quality Dashboard Approval
  • Deviation Review and Approval at defined level
  • Be process leader for 9530, contribute continuous improvement of 9530 at local level with process participants.

Set up and tracking department objective and budget through

  • Effectiveness of Customer PPAP
  • Effectiveness of Quality Dashboard
  • % of Budget for Quality Engineers (Efficiency).
  • Input single report by quality development cost and headcount forecast.

Interaction influence through

  • Keep communication with customer and support to QE to smooth customer APQP/PPAP & CAPA progress.
  • Facilitate project hand over to plant with proper methodology implementation.
  • Support quality engineer coordinate with other functions.
  • Coach Quality Engineer in terms of Inergy quality tools/procedure implementation.
  • Set up development plan for quality engineers.

Development resource of quality engineers

  • Coach Quality Engineer in terms of Inergy quality tools/procedure implementation.
  • Set up development plan for quality engineers and tacking the effectiveness.
  • Set up individual objective and make semi/annual performance appraisal.
  • Keep quality engineers motivated.
  • As backup for Quality Department

M anagement representative and

C ustomer representative

  • Ensuring that processes needed for the quality management system are established, implemented, and maintained.
  • Reporting to top management on the performance of the quality management system and any need for improvement, and
  • Ensuring the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization
  • To ensure that customer requirements are addressed. This includes selection of special characteristics, setting quality objectives and related training, corrective and preventive actions, product design and development
  • To ensure the communication between TAD and all related plants supported by TAD.

internal Auditing

  • Plan and carry out the process / product audits/layered process audit as the defined procedure.
  • Timely closure of observations & open issues in QRQC & Audits.
  • Documentation related to ISO/TS-16949.
  • Documentation related to ISO 14001 (EHS) & OHSAS-18001.
  • To act as document controller of the plant.
  • Organize/support customer ISO/TS and other external audits with timely closure of open points.

Manage Process Quality

  • Ensure equipment & human safety in the laboratory and test area
  • Follow up with maintenance department/Supplier for on time AMC to ensure preventive maintenance of laboratory and other testing equipment to avoid / minimize the break-down.
  • To ensure availability of consumables for lab inventory management (e.g. Ethylene Glycol, Microtome Blades, Resin for seal compression & thread profile checking) etc.
  • Timely sending of tanks for IVC Testing without time default
  • SMIR/4M reporting on MSIL’s extranet before 6th of every month
  • Provide Training to New joiners & Certification of Maru- A operatorsI

Co-ordination with Production, Engineering & Supply Chain

  • Timely feedback to production in case if any product non-conformity observed during testing / measurement.
  • To prepare pareto for in-house rejection on monthly basis and share with team .
  • To participate in daily quality meeting and close the issue with cross functional team timely
  • To close the quality 8-D within defined target by corporate of locally
  • To carryout Layered Process Audit, Product Audit ,Process Audit , Unchangeable Audit and Transport Audit as per the defined frequency

Authorized for conformity to product requirements have the authority to stop shipments and stop production.

Within his/her scope of responsibility, he/she respects the standards and rules in terms of Quality, Safety and Environment contributing to the IMS process management and improvement.

Profile Requirements

Personal Background

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering , Science , Technical or Business ) or equivalent in work experience
  • Five years SQA/Quality Engineering; Management and Technical Experience strongly preferred.

Skills & Abilities

  • Experience in Inergy Systems and Procedures, Quality Standards and practices
  • Strong problem Solving , decision making and prioritization skills required
  • Must be able to manage time and determine priorities
  • Fluent English written and oral
  • Analyzing skills and logic thinking
  • People management and strong leadership
