Job Description

Job Title: Senior Scrum Master

Location: Hyderabad

Experience: 10+years

Notice Period: Immediate or 30 Days

Work Mode: Semi Hybrid Mode (4days work from office) and (1 day work from home(either Monday or Wednesday or Friday)) in a week


As a Senior Scrum Master, you will play a crucial role in our E-commerce technology team, helping to deliver high-impact projects that enhance our retail dropship. You will be responsible for guiding up to two scrum teams, ensuring effective agile practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will work closely with product owners, development teams, and stakeholders to ensure that our E-commerce solutions meet business needs and drive operational efficiency as well as drive innovation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Scrum Events: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring teams are aligned and focused on delivering high-quality products.
  • Guide Agile Practices: Mentor and coach scrum teams on agile methodologies, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Remove Impediments: Identify and resolve obstacles that may hinder the team’s progress, escalating issues when necessary to maintain momentum.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and other teams to understand requirements, manage expectations, and ensure clear communication of project status and timelines.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor team performance using agile metrics and KPIs, such as velocity, burndown charts, and cycle time, to provide insights and drive improvement.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance agile processes and practices within the teams, leveraging feedback and lessons learned to optimize delivery.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and dependencies, working with the team and stakeholders to mitigate them and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Mentorship: Act as a mentor for junior scrum master’s and other team members, providing guidance and support in their professional development.


Qualifications:

  • Education

    : Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is a good plus.
  • Certifications

    : Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM). Advanced certifications such as SAFe Scrum Master or other leadership trainings are highly desirable.
  • Agile Expertise

    : Deep understanding of agile principles, frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), and best practices, with a proven track record of successful agile implementations.
  • Tools

    : familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, integration tools, and platforms like SFCC JIRA, etc.
  • E-Commerce Knowledge

    : Be knowledgeable about e-commerce security (e.g., secure payments, data encryption) and compliance requirements like GDPR or PCI-DSS for handling customer data.


Is a plus if you have affinity with:

  • the checkout process, such as cart management, address input, payment validation, and reducing cart abandonment rates.
  • drop shipping models, including supplier integrations, real-time inventory updates, and shipment tracking.
  • the flow of order processing, including order validation, inventory checks, shipping label generation, and integration with warehouse management systems.
  • Communication Skills

    : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving

    : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.
  • Leadership

    : Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, driving a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. Expertise in fostering psychological safety and addressing team dysfunctions effectively.
  • Change Management & Strategic Alignment

    : Handling resistance to change and design, implement, and continuously improve frameworks tailored to organizational needs. Co-organize and co-facilitate agile coaches with workshops for leadership and teams. Monitor and align improvement opportunities for cross domain growth.
