Senior Scrum Master

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitation & Coaching:

  Facilitate Scrum events (Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective) and other team-level meetings. Coach teams on Agile principles and practices, ensuring they understand and apply the Scrum framework effectively.

• Barrier Removal:

  Proactively identify and remove impediments that hinder team progress. This involves working with various stakeholders, including Product Owners, management, and other teams, to resolve issues swiftly.

• Stakeholder Management:

  Build and maintain strong relationships with product owners, stakeholders, and other Scrum Masters. Ensure alignment and clear communication across the organization.

• Metrics & Reporting:

  Utilize and report on key metrics (e.g., velocity, sprint burndown, cycle time) to provide transparency on team performance and progress toward goals.

• Continuous Improvement:

  Champion a culture of continuous improvement, helping teams identify and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

• Agile Transformation:

  Act as a change agent, helping to scale Agile practices within the organization and mentoring less experienced Scrum Masters.

• Team Development:

  Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting self-organization and accountability.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience:

• 5+ years

  of experience as a Scrum Master, with a proven track record of leading multiple teams.

• Mandatory experience

  working within the banking or financial services industry.

• Specific experience

  in Wealth Management and/or Digital Investment is highly preferred.

• Technical Knowledge:

• Deep understanding of the Scrum framework and other Agile methodologies (e.g., Kanban, Lean).
• Proficiency with Agile project management tools such as

  Jira

  and Confluence.
• Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices.

• Certifications:

• Scrum Master Certification

  (

  CSM

  , PSM I, or equivalent) is required.
• Advanced certifications (e.g., A-CSM, PSM II) are a plus.

• Soft Skills:

• Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Ability to coach and mentor others effectively.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
