About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and strategic Cost & Financial Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cost accounting, financial planning, and performance analysis, with experience working in any manufacturing environment. This role is pivotal in enhancing financial accuracy, driving cost efficiency, and providing insights that support key business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze direct and indirect cost structures to identify inefficiencies and implement cost-saving measures.
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, and cross-functional teams to drive cost control and transparency.
• Develop and maintain robust cost accounting systems for accurate cost tracking and allocation.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts for the business.
• Conduct variance analysis between actual and projected performance, offering clear, data-driven insights.
• Strengthen financial planning processes to improve accuracy and strategic alignment.
• Build comprehensive financial models to evaluate business scenarios, investments, and new initiatives.
• Analyze financial data and trends to support strategic planning and improve profitability.
• Contribute to the evaluation of projects and operational performance improvement efforts.
• Prepare and present customized MIS reports and dashboards for senior leadership.
• Support month-end closing activities and ensure consistency in financial reporting.
• Simplify complex financial data and present it clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Act as a finance business partner to operations, procurement, and other departments.
• Manage and maintain Master Data Management (MDM) systems in collaboration with relevant teams.
• Ensure cost accounting practices align with broader financial goals and compliance standards.

Education & Experience:

• ICWA/ MBA in Finance – Preferred
• 10+ years of experience in cost accounting and finance within the manufacturing industry.

Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial modeling, and budgeting
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools
• Experience with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, etc.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets for strategic insights
• Familiarity with financial statement analysis and statutory reporting
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced setting
