Senior Manager

1. End-to-End Plant Leadership

• Lead and manage overall plant operations across manufacturing, packaging, production planning & control (PPC), maintenance, utilities, and quality.

• Drive adherence to daily, weekly, and monthly production plans ensuring on-time delivery, resource optimization, and quality assurance.

• Foster accountability-driven governance, cross-shift consistency, and proactive production interventions.

2. Production & Process Excellence

• Ensure batch-wise production scheduling, raw material efficiency, cycle-time optimization, and minimal downtime.

• Champion process standardization, automation opportunities, and real-time monitoring to improve throughput and reduce cost per unit.

• Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and root cause analysis frameworks for continual improvement.

3. Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure zero-compromise adherence to product quality standards, statutory regulations, and environmental norms.

• Lead internal/external audits (ISO, FSSAI, EHS), product traceability systems, and shop floor GMP protocols.

• Build a safety-first culture through rigorous training, hazard identification, incident tracking, and proactive EHS interventions.

4. Production Planning & Inventory Control

• Align production plans with sales forecasts, distribution timelines, and inventory norms across FG/WIP/Raw Material categories.

• Collaborate with SCM, procurement, and sales teams to minimize stock outs, reduce excess inventory, and optimize logistics efficiency.

5. People Leadership & Workforce Productivity

• Lead, mentor, and engage a diverse plant workforce including production engineers, technicians, contract labour, and functional supervisors.

• Drive team alignment, accountability, upskilling, and performance management at all levels.

• Strengthen shop floor discipline, shift effectiveness, attendance control, and manpower planning.

6. Cost & Resource Optimization

• Drive key cost levers including raw material yield, utility consumption, labor cost, packaging waste, and rework minimization.

• Deploy energy-saving projects, asset utilization initiatives, and vendor productivity improvements.

• Monitor and report operational KPIs with precision and drive real-time course correction.

7. Facility Management & Local Liaison

• Ensure seamless upkeep, maintenance, and administration of plant premises, infrastructure, and amenities.

• Coordinate with local authorities, legal/compliance teams, and regulatory bodies for licenses, inspections, and approvals.
