This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Internal Audit function. This position will report to the Senior Manager in the Netherlands. The position The Senior Auditor position offers qualified candidates an opportunity to work in a diverse team to enhance their leadership, presentation, project management, problem-solving, critical thinking, investigation, and collaboration skills. The Senior Auditor is responsible for leading audit teams of 1 – 4 team members in a wide variety of projects while interacting with all levels of Ashland management. The role provides exposure to the commercial units, operations, compliance and resource groups as well as to the different regions of the world. Analytical, accounting, financial reporting, business process assessment, internal control, risk assessment, and report writing skills are used and developed in the role. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Lead assigned audit projects from start to finish, including identifying and assessing project risks and controls developing audit programs performing and reviewing audit work managing the projects’ deadlines and budgets supervising and coaching assigned staff-auditors reporting agreed-upon results to management and other stakeholders Performing Sarbanes-Oxley Act controls evaluation and testing Conducting fraud investigations Managing the relationships with auditees for the assigned audits In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following: 3-5 years of experience in operations, supply chain, finance, sales, trade compliance, or other business areas; 2 years of experience in auditing or accounting a plus Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other comparable/relevant major Experience in project management, leadership, business risk assessments, process evaluations, or process improvement recommendations Experience with SAP or comparable Enterprise Reporting Resource planning system Ability to influence and foster strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills; good interpersonal skills Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills- ability to assess and evaluate data to identify trends and inconsistencies Strong business acumen and basic understanding of accounting principles Independent thinking and attention to detail Ability to lead and develop people and work well in a dynamic, result-driven team environment Ability to travel approximately 20%, domestically and internationally The Following Skill Sets Are Preferred MBA a plus Other foreign language skills. Strong Excel, PowerBI, and data analysis skills Team player Self-starter In possession of relevant professional certification or committed to obtaining such certification (i.e., CIA, CPA, etc.).
