Ashland has an exciting opportunity for an India and Southeast Asia Technical Sales Manager to join our Life Sciences, Crop Care business. This position will be based in Mumbai, India . It is a highly visible and significant role within the companys technical and commercial functions. This position will report to the administrative to General Manager life science and functionally to the global business director. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Promote Ashlands core chemistry and new product introduction (NPI) in the Agrochemical industry Support delivery of the business plan for the assigned territory and accounts: sales volume, revenues Ensures timely new products introduction to achieve NPI sales target Proactively seeks information about Customers strategy and product launches Coordinates activities related to the projects with the Customer & distributor on the products application and development. Closely cooperate with sales team and R&D to make sure project meets Customer needs. Contributes their insights and guidelines to the regional strategy and account plan. Implements accordingly. In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following: A Bachelor s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry, preferably with a specialization in Agrochemicals. Experience of 6-8 yrs in technical sales within the Agrochemical industry. In-depth knowledge of Agrochemical technologies, key market players, trends, and strategies. A proven track record of building and maintaining strong customer relationships. Strong technical expertise and sales execution skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities. Outstanding communication skills. Adaptability to the dynamic nature of the Agrochemical business - and the ability to enjoy the ride and have fun while doing it
