Competency Overview: Enterprise & Functional Strategy
The Operations Strategy team works with clients across industries supporting engagements -
- Developing enterprise and functional strategy (operating model, supply chain, manufacturing & service operations) in partnership with C-suite executives
- Conducting operational due diligence to assess process and technology landscapes and create POVs
- Advising clients on transformation—operating model redesign, network optimization, S&OP/planning, logistics, inventory, sourcing & procurement
- Developing future‑state strategies for Operations‑driven digital transformation (analytics, automation, GenAI)
 
- Diagnostic & design
- Clean/merge datasets, build models/benchmarks, define baselines, conduct analysis, and develop sensitivity (what if) analysis

Responsibilities
As part of the team, you'll collaborate with experienced consultants and industry professionals to help clients address complex business challenges. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Structure analyses, build models, synthesize insights, and draft client-ready pages with limited supervision
- Map / assess current‑state processes and operating models; identify pain points, constraints, and value opportunities
- Support design of future‑state processes, org roles, KPIs, and technology enablers; quantify benefits and costs
- Develop financial models for synergy savings, one-time costs, stranded costs for separation and integration 
- Recommend enterprise architecture, solutions, and systems based on industry leading practices and past experiences 
- Recommend technology restructuring considerations (transformation, integration, separation, or carve-out) across key strategy pillars 
- Co‑facilitate client workshops and stakeholder interviews; capture decisions, risks, and actions
- Maintain RAID logs, status reports, and quality checklists; contribute to methodology assets

Eligibility criteria
- MBA from a premier B-School 
- 4–7 years total experience; 2–5 years in operations/supply chain/transformation preferred
- Fluency in Excel/Sheets and PowerPoint; working knowledge of data querying/visualization is advantageous
