About the Role India Designer Show is seeking a dynamic, results-driven, and highly networked Head of Event Sales & Sponsorship to lead revenue generation for the prestigious India Designer Show . This pivotal role is responsible for driving both exhibitor participation and securing high-value sponsorships, ensuring the commercial success and growth of our flagship event. Key Responsibilities Strategic Sales & Sponsorship Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive sales and sponsorship strategies to meet and exceed ambitious revenue targets for the India Designer Show . This includes identifying key growth areas, market analysis, and pricing strategy. High-Value Prospecting & Relationship Building: Proactively identify, research, and cultivate relationships with high-potential exhibitors (leading designers, fashion houses, accessory brands, luxury lifestyle brands) and top-tier corporate sponsors across diverse sectors (e.g, automotive, banking, luxury, technology, consumer goods). Network & Brand Leveraging: Leverage an existing robust network and strong relationships with key decision-makers within prominent Indian brands and corporate houses to unlock strategic sponsorship opportunities. Customized Proposal Development: Create compelling, tailor-made sales and sponsorship proposals that clearly articulate the unique value proposition, ROI, and branding opportunities for each potential partner. Negotiation & Deal Closure: Lead negotiations and expertly close complex sales and sponsorship agreements, ensuring mutual benefit and adherence to company policies. Account Management: Build and maintain long-term, trusted relationships with existing and new clients, ensuring high satisfaction, retention, and repeat business. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing, PR, and Event Operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of client commitments and integrated marketing campaigns. Market Intelligence: Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and sponsor/exhibitor needs to identify new revenue streams and opportunities. Performance Reporting: Provide regular, accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance analyses to senior management. Representation: Represent the India Designer Show at relevant industry events, conferences, and networking functions. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. MBA is a plus. Minimum of 8-12 years of progressive experience in high-value event sales and sponsorship generation, with a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets. Demonstrable success in securing significant sponsorships and exhibitor participation for large-scale events, ideally within the fashion, design, luxury, or lifestyle sectors in India. An exceptional existing network and established relationships with decision-makers at leading Indian brands and corporate entities is crucial. Superior sales, negotiation, and closing skills with a strong ability to articulate value. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with C-suite executives and senior stakeholders. Strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities and commercial acumen. Highly self-motivated, proactive, target-driven, and resilient. Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), MS Office Suite, and proposal generation tools. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure event environment.
