About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Head


As a key member of the leadership team, the Sales Head will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies to achieve ambitious growth targets, strengthen market presence, and build long-term customer partnerships.


Key Responsibilities


Strategic Sales Leadership

  • Develop and execute the overall sales strategy in alignment with business goals and growth objectives.
  • Own the revenue targets and drive consistent top-line performance across multiple verticals and regions.
  • Build scalable sales models and processes to support rapid business expansion.
  • Leverage data, market insights, and analytics to refine go-to-market (GTM) strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Director and leadership team to shape business strategy and long-term planning.


Revenue Growth & Business Development

  • Drive new business acquisition and expansion in both B2C and B2B channels.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances to enhance revenue streams.
  • Lead pricing strategy, discount structures, and commercial negotiations.
  • Oversee enterprise and institutional sales, key account management, and channel partnerships.


Channel & Market Expansion

  • Design and execute regional and national sales expansion plans.
  • Build and manage relationships with distributors, aggregators, and key marketplace partners.
  • Strengthen presence across Tier I, II, and III markets with region-specific sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations to ensure product availability, brand visibility, and seamless delivery.


Sales Operations & Performance Management

  • Establish robust sales systems, CRM processes, and performance tracking dashboards.
  • Monitor key metrics such as conversion rates, customer acquisition cost (CAC), and lifetime value (LTV).
  • Implement sales enablement tools and training programs to enhance productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing, and ethical standards.


Leadership & Team Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales organization.
  • Foster a performance-driven culture focused on accountability, agility, and results.
  • Encourage collaboration with marketing, operations, and finance teams to align sales efforts with organizational goals.
  • Drive continuous learning and capability-building within the team.


Candidate Profile

Education:

  • MBA/PGDM in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field from a reputed institute preferred.

Experience:

  • 14–20 years of progressive experience in Sales, Business Development, or Revenue Leadership.
  • At least 5+ years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven experience in FoodTech, E-commerce.
  • Strong understanding of the Indian consumer landscape, channel ecosystems, and regional market dynamics.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling revenue in high-growth or startup environments.


Skills & Competencies

  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Deep understanding of sales analytics, forecasting, and CRM systems (Salesforce, Zoho, etc.).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to design and implement data-driven sales strategies that deliver measurable impact.
  • Strong business network and ability to build strategic partnerships.
