Job Summary:

We are seeking a Principal Product Designer (UI/UX) to define and drive the design vision and strategy for our digital products. You will be responsible for creating intuitive, user-centric experiences that enhance usability, engagement, and business outcomes. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Customer Experience, Sales, and QA teams to deliver high-quality, impactful design solutions. As a senior design leader, you will mentor designers, establish scalable design systems, and ensure that our products adhere to global usability and accessibility standards. This is a unique opportunity to influence product experiences and shape our design culture. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Leadership

   
• Define and execute the overall UX strategy, ensuring consistency in visual design, interaction patterns, and user experience across products. 
• Lead the end-to-end design process, including user research, ideation, prototyping, usability testing, and UI implementation. 
• Establish best practices, frameworks, and scalable design systems for multiple products. 
• Foster a strong user-centered design culture, advocating for user needs across all stages of the product lifecycle. 

• Product Delivery & Innovation

   
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Business Stakeholders to align design outcomes with strategic objectives. 
• Research and implement emerging UI/UX trends to drive product innovation and engagement. 
• Develop and maintain scalable design systems that ensure visual consistency and efficiency. 
• Leverage data-driven insights (A/B testing, heatmaps, usability research) to refine and improve user interactions. 

• Team Development & Mentorship

   
• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level designers, providing guidance and professional development opportunities. 
• Lead design critiques, brainstorming sessions, and collaborative problem-solving workshops. 
• Actively contribute to hiring efforts, helping to recruit and retain top-tier design talent. 
• Empower team members by delegating responsibilities, improving efficiency, and maintaining accountability. 

• Quality & Accessibility

   
• Champion inclusive design principles and ensure compliance with accessibility best practices (WCAG 2.1). 
• Conduct and facilitate user research, usability testing, and A/B experiments to drive data-backed design decisions. 
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of designs and optimize UI performance. 

• Process & Collaboration

   
• Work in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments, ensuring design tasks are well-defined and aligned with sprint objectives. 
• Lead cross-functional workshops and present designs to stakeholders, gathering feedback and iterating efficiently. 
• Effectively communicate design rationale to technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring alignment of product goals. 

Qualifications:

• Education & Experience

   
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Visual Communication, or a related field. 
• 8+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design with a strong portfolio showcasing leadership in design strategy and user-centric solutions. 

• Technical Expertise

   
• Expert proficiency in Figma and other industry-standard design tools. 
• Strong knowledge of design systems, interaction design principles, and user research methodologies. 
• Deep understanding of usability testing, UX research methods, and accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.1). 
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for better collaboration with developers. 

• Leadership & Communication

   
• Proven track record of mentoring designers and leading successful product design initiatives. 
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present and justify design decisions effectively. 
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities. 

• Bonus Points

   
• Experience working in Agile or Lean UX workflows. 
• Proficiency in motion design and micro-interactions. 
• Familiarity with AI-powered design tools and automation in UX workflows. 
• Contributions to open-source design projects, UX research, or speaking engagements. 

Job Location & Schedule:

• This job is an onsite job at Logile’s Bhubaneswar Office 
• Some overlap with U.S. or other international time zones may be required to support our global customers as needed.
