Position Overview

Pareto Aluminum Systems / ALFO Systems is seeking a high-potential Operations Manager with a Mechanical Engineering degree and an MBA in Operations Management, possessing 1–3 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is capable, ambitious, and ready to handle cross-functional responsibilities across production, engineering changes, supplier management, and customer coordination.

The Operations Manager will oversee execution of daily production activities, ensure engineering changes are implemented smoothly, manage suppliers for timely and quality output, and work closely with U.S. customers to resolve operational issues. The Supply Chain Coordinator (as per attached JD) will report directly to this role.

Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Execution

Own the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and ensure alignment with customer order requirements.

Drive day-to-day production activities to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.

Implement engineering design changes into production with minimum disruption.

Monitor production KPIs such as output, OEE, scrap, downtime, and rework.

Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.

2. Supplier Management (Domestic & International)

Manage all Tier-1 and Tier-2 suppliers for production parts, machining, extrusions, FRP parts, assemblies, and packaging.

Approve new suppliers and monitor supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery).

Review capacity constraints and ensure suppliers meet Pareto’s delivery timelines.

Work closely with the Supply Chain Coordinator on: PO release, Lead-time tracking

Shipment readiness, Packaging verification, Cost analysis, Lead supplier visits, audits, and negotiations.

3. Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECR)

Work with engineering to implement product revisions into production.

Validate manufacturability of new parts before release.

Ensure suppliers update tooling, fixtures, BOM, and routing per engineering change.

Track execution timelines and ensure production readiness.

4. Customer Order Management & Fulfillment

Ensure all customer orders (weekly, monthly, project-based) are delivered on time and in full (OTIF).

Review customer forecasts, order patterns, and shipment plans.

Anticipate delays and communicate proactive recovery plans.

Coordinate with logistics partners for overseas shipments (air/ocean).

Support the customer with technical and operational clarifications.

5. Customer Interaction & Issue Resolution

Act as primary operational interface with U.S. customers

Manage escalations related to: Quality complaints, Short shipments, New requirement feasibility, Packaging or transit issues

Provide RCA + CAPA reports and ensure closure with suppliers and internal team.

Participate in customer review meetings and provide status updates.

6. Cross-functional Coordination

Work with engineering, quality, supply chain, logistics, and finance to resolve operational issues.

Ensure quality inspections, documentation, and compliance are met.

Track shipping costs, packaging costs, and supplier expenses.

Review and approve invoices, freight bills, packaging bills, etc.

7. Team Leadership

Supervise and mentor the Supply Chain Coordinator and production supervisors.

Ensure discipline, ownership, and accountability across the team.

Improve SOPs, workflow efficiency, and data reporting formats

Qualifications

Mandatory

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

MBA in Operations Management

1–3 years of manufacturing experience in automotive, fabrication, machining, extrusion, FRP, or related industries

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering drawings

Ability to manage suppliers, coordinate production, and handle customer communication

Skills Required

Excellent communication (written & verbal)

Strong coordination and follow-up skills

Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability

Good understanding of ERP, Excel, and data reporting

High ownership, proactive approach, and commitment to timelines

Preferred

Experience with export-oriented manufacturing

Exposure to U.S. customers or global supply chains

Knowledge of FMVSS/ADA or mobility-vehicle standards (added advantage)
