Job Description

Primary title: Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)
Role & Responsibilities
  • Act as the strategic HR partner to assigned business units—translate business priorities into people plans covering hiring, retention, performance, and succession.
  • Drive end-to-end performance management: coach managers on goal-setting, performance calibration, feedback cycles, and talent calibration meetings.
  • Lead employee relations and engagement initiatives; investigate and resolve complex employee issues with confidentiality and impartiality.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to define hiring needs, build pipelining strategies, and improve time-to-fill for critical roles.
  • Support compensation and reward processes: market benchmarking, salary reviews, promotions, and bonus calibration aligned to business goals.
  • Ensure local statutory compliance and partner with HR operations to optimise HRIS processes, reporting, and people analytics for data-driven decisions.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • 4–8 years of hands-on HRBP experience in technology, product, or engineering-led organisations operating in India.
  • Strong track record in performance management, talent reviews, and employee relations with practical coaching experience for managers.
  • Good working knowledge of India labour laws and experience handling statutory compliance and policy implementation.
  • Proficiency with HRIS/HRMS tools and comfort using people analytics to influence business outcomes.

Preferred

  • Experience in scaling start-up or high-growth product teams and familiarity with compensation benchmarking for tech roles.
  • Certifications in HR (e.g., SHRM/PHR) or demonstrated training in change management, talent assessment, or leadership development.
