Role Summary:

The Sales Head will lead the company’s solar sales strategy across domestic markets. The role requires proven expertise in large-scale solar module and cell sales, government liaison, CPSU tendering, and OEM/channel partnerships. The Sales Head will be accountable for revenue growth, expansion into new markets, and building long-term strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the renewable energy ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth in solar modules, cells, and renewable solutions across domestic and global markets.
  • Lead participation in

    CPSU tenders

    (NHPC, SECI, NTPC, SJVN, etc.) ensuring timely coordination, compliance, and execution.
  • Establish and expand relationships with

    IPP/PPA players

    , EPC contractors, OEMs, and key stakeholders in the renewable energy sector.
  • Identify and onboard strategic OEM partners across geographies for sustainable business expansion.
  • Build and execute

    channel partner programs

    , policies, and audits to strengthen the company’s footprint in local and international markets.
  • Collaborate with government bodies, regulatory authorities (MNRE, State NRE departments), and industry associations to influence policies and secure business opportunities.
  • Drive international market entry strategies by generating leads, building networks, and creating alliances.
  • Monitor operations at the

    manufacturing unit

    to ensure product quality, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage a high-performing sales team through recruitment, training, and mentoring to achieve ambitious revenue targets.
  • Represent the company at national and international

    renewable energy exhibitions, forums, and industry platforms

    to enhance brand presence.


Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong background in

    solar sales, CPSU tender management, and renewable energy business development

    .
  • Deep understanding of the

    solar value chain

    (modules, cells, EPC, IPPs, PPAs, OEMs).
  • Demonstrated success in delivering

    multi-crore revenue portfolios and multi-GW solar contracts

    .
  • Expertise in channel development, partner management, and international sales.
  • Strong government liaison and policy advocacy skills in the renewable sector.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and client relationship management.
  • Ability to conceptualize and execute strategies for

    new market penetration

    .


Qualifications:

  • MBA in Sales & Marketing (preferred).
  • 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in

    Sales & Business Development

    , with a strong track record in the

    solar/renewable energy sector

    .
  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed large-scale sales and revenue targets.
