The Head of Procurement is responsible for overseeing the procurement strategy and operations of the organization. This role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that procurement practices align with the company's goals and budget constraints.
• Analyze the IT (Software & Hardware) and other needs of the organization
• Implement Strategic partnerships with All Major OEMs (IT & non-IT category) for Domestic & Overseas businesses.
• Bench mark the existing costs against market for the various contracts for facilities and other requirements.
• Categorize purchases based on importance (value and need) and arrange rate contracts for repeat purchases
• Identify, evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to ethical and sustainability standards.
• Manage supplier relationships, including ongoing performance evaluation, issue resolution and fostering long-term partnerships.
• Continuously scan the market to stay updated on industry trends, supplier capabilities, and pricing fluctuations.
• Understand buy vs lease arrangements and make recommendations basis organizational requirements.
• Implement procurement systems and tools (p2p) to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. • Implement sustainable and socially responsible strategic sourcing practices, including supporting local suppliers and promoting ethical sourcing.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and align procurement activities with organizational goals.
