Job Title: General Manager – Retail Operations- Estele Accessories Pvt. Ltd

Key Responsibility Areas (KRA):

1. Leadership and People Development

  • Supervise and directly manage 4 zonal managers, each responsible for overseeing multiple clusters of stores (2-3 clusters per zone, with 3-4 stores per cluster).
  • Foster a collaborative environment where the team feels supported and empowered to achieve organizational goals.
  • Provide regular coaching and mentoring sessions to zonal managers, cluster heads, and store managers to enhance their leadership and operational capabilities.
  • Implement training and skill development programs that align with the company’s strategic vision and encourage career progression for team members.
  • Develop and maintain a strong talent pipeline by identifying, recruiting, and retaining high-performing individuals.

2. Strategic Business Development

  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, such as opening new stores, entering untapped markets, and implementing innovative retail strategies.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to set strategic objectives and create actionable business plans to achieve growth targets.
  • Strengthen vendor and landlord relationships for cost-effective leasing and expansion opportunities.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to ensure the brand remains competitive and adaptable.

3. Retail Operations Excellence

  • Oversee seamless day-to-day operations across all 40 stores, ensuring standardization of processes and adherence to company policies.
  • Develop and implement KPIs to measure performance at all levels: zones, clusters, and stores.
  • Regularly audit store-level operations, ensuring compliance with inventory management, customer service protocols, and safety standards.
  • Address operational challenges swiftly by providing guidance to zonal managers and store teams during store visits or virtual reviews.

4. Financial and P&L Management

  • Take full ownership of the company’s financial performance, ensuring profitability through strategic cost control measures and revenue generation initiatives.
  • Analyze P&L statements to pinpoint areas for improvement and provide actionable insights to zonal and store managers.
  • Set financial targets for each zone and track progress through regular performance reviews.
  • Optimize resource allocation, including workforce planning, budget management, and cost-effective marketing strategies.

5. Merchandising and Inventory Control

  • Collaborate with the merchandising team to curate product assortments tailored to diverse regional preferences and consumer demand.
  • Monitor inventory levels across all stores, ensuring optimal stock availability and timely replenishment to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
  • Implement best practices for inventory control, reducing shrinkage and wastage while maximizing profitability.

6. Team Building and Motivation

  • Build a culture of collaboration, accountability, and enthusiasm within the organization.
  • Recognize and reward top-performing individuals and teams to maintain high levels of employee engagement and motivation.
  • Resolve conflicts effectively and foster a positive working environment conducive to innovation and team success.

7. Travel and Store Visits

  • Conduct frequent store visits to assess operations and address issues in real-time.
  • Provide constructive feedback and hands-on support to zonal managers, cluster heads, and store managers during field visits.
  • Attend key business events, client meetings, and companywide initiatives as required.

8. Customer Experience Management

  • Drive customer-centric practices across all stores to enhance the brand’s reputation and foster customer loyalty.
  • Oversee the implementation of customer feedback mechanisms and ensure prompt resolution of issues to deliver consistent satisfaction.
  • Design and launch in-store promotions and seasonal campaigns to attract and retain customers.


The General Manager (GM) will spearhead operations for a leading retail brand with a network of 40 stores across India, reporting directly to the leadership team. Key Competencies and Qualifications:

  • Relevant Experience:

    Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Travel Flexibility:

    Willingness to travel extensively to oversee operations and address business requirements.
