Role Summary

The Finance Controller will be responsible for leading all aspects of financial management at Gamlaa Bioscapes, including corporate accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, internal controls, and treasury management. This individual will work closely with senior leadership to support business decisions and drive financial efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

• Drive annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across departments.

• Monitor key financial KPIs, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to leadership.

• Ensure accurate and timely closing of books of accounts (Ind AS/IFRS/GAAP as applicable).

• Maintain internal controls and safeguard company assets through robust processes and audits.

• Oversee compliance with direct and indirect tax regulations, corporate filings, and statutory audits.

• Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury operations efficiently.

• Partner with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, HR, etc.) to evaluate financial impact of strategic decisions.

• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions.

• Implement ERP/accounting systems and continuously improve financial processes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent financial qualification (CPA, CMA).

• 7-12 years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles, preferably in a mid-sized or scaling organization. • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial laws, taxation, and compliance frameworks in India.

• Hands-on experience with financial reporting, audits, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Proficiency in accounting software and tools (Tally, Zoho Books, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and drive outcomes independently.
