Financial Controller

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our finance team. The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data, provide insightful analysis to support business decisions, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Compliance:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes.
• Prepare comprehensive financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP).
• Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international financial regulations and tax requirements.
• Coordinate and manage external audits, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors.

• Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles in collaboration with various departments.
• Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, providing variance analysis and actionable insights to management.

• Internal Controls & Process Improvement:

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

• Financial Analysis & Support:

• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making, including profitability analysis, cost control, and investment appraisals.
• Support business units with financial data and analysis for operational planning and performance management.

• Cash Flow Management:

• Oversee cash flow planning and management, ensuring optimal liquidity and working capital.

• Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
• Manage performance reviews, training, and career development for the finance team.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is essential.

• Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles

  , with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or controller position, preferably within the IT services or technology industry.
• Strong knowledge of

  IFRS and/or US GAAP

  accounting principles.
• Proven experience with

  ERP systems

  (e.g., SAP, Oracle Financials).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
