Job Summary

The DGM – Supply Chain will lead export market end-to-end supply chain operations of the Visakhapatnam biodiesel manufacturing plant, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, customer development, vendor development and customer relationship management. This role demands strategic planning, operational excellence, and cross-functional coordination to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality-focused supply chain management in alignment with corporate goals and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in export market development towards finding new customers and markets and build relationships with existing customers to enhance brand value and positioning.
• Ability to analyses and research about industry trends at an international level and be updated with latest industry news, regulations and trends that may affect supply chain operations of both inward and outwards
• Oversee entire supply chain operations of the plant starting from raw material, sourcing, procurement, inbound/outbound logistics, inventory, and warehousing management.
• Detailed ideas and analysis of export market developments and export market management along with customer relationship management.
• Develop and implement supply chain strategies based on market study/ market trends to make timely supply chain decisions regarding procurement of raw materials and delivery of finished goods.
• Optimize inventory levels to support production needs while minimizing carrying costs.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with suppliers and customers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
• Coordinate closely with production, finance, and quality departments to align supply chain activities with operational requirements.
• Ensure compliance with SEZ, customs, and environmental regulations related to materials movement.
• Develop and maintain KPIs to track and improve supply chain performance.
• Use ERP and digital tools for better supply chain visibility and control through constant improvement.
• Lead risk management initiatives to ensure continuity of supply and resolve bottlenecks.
• Manage and mentor the supply chain team, fostering continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Knowledge about freight forwarding, ship chartering, charter party agreements, shore tank and density calculation along with assessment of material in ship tanks.

Qualifications

• MBA/PGDM in Foreign Trade / International business from a reputed institution.
• Certified course in Export Market Development.
• 8-10 years of experience in supply chain and customer relationship management, with at least 5 years in international business operations for a manufacturing unit.
• Proven experience in managing end-to-end supply chain functions
• Strong knowledge of SEZ procedures, regulations, and ERP systems.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills along with leadership, analytical, and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, compliance-driven industry which functions in a highly dynamic market.
