Role Overview

Community Manager (Manager Level)


Key Responsibilities

  • Community Operations

  • Own day‑to‑day management of

    Discord, Telegram, Reddit, X

    and other channels.
  • Set and enforce

    community guidelines

    ; keep spaces friendly, inclusive, and compliant.
  • Build and manage a roster of

    moderators

    (contract/part‑time) and

    ambassadors

    ; set schedules and SOPs.


  • Programming & Engagement

  • Plan the calendar: weekly prompts, product education threads, tutorials, contests, and

    AMA/Twitter Spaces

    .
  • Ship

    quests/campaigns

    (e.g.,

    Galxe, Zealy, QuestN

    ) with anti‑sybil gating and on‑chain/off‑chain tasks.
  • Partner with Marketing to create

    snackable content

    (how‑tos, carousels, short clips) the community can share.


  • Growth & Partnerships

  • Identify relevant communities and KOLs; arrange collaboration AMAs, cross‑posts, and event swaps.
  • Support event presence (virtual or physical) with pre‑hype, live coverage, and post‑event follow‑ups.


  • Support & Escalations

  • Triage product questions; maintain an up‑to‑date

    FAQ/Help

    index and pinned resources.
  • Run an escalation path to Ops/Support; track issues and resolutions.


  • Safety, Security, & Compliance

  • Implement anti‑spam/anti‑bot measures and phishing alerts; coordinate with Security on incident playbooks.
  • Ensure messaging respects

    Web3/Fintech compliance

    (no financial advice, clear disclaimers where needed).


  • Insights & Reporting

  • Turn conversations into

    feature requests/bug reports

    with priority tags.
  • Own weekly metrics, monthly deep‑dives, and quarterly retros with recommended actions.


Scope of Work (What this role will deliver)

  • Foundational Docs

    : community guidelines, mod handbook, tone & response guide, crisis playbook.
  • Programs

    : ambassador program, community quests, referral loops, newcomer onboarding flow.
  • Content

    : AMA kits, event run‑of‑show, recap threads, tutorial posts, template replies.
  • Events

    : 2–4 community events/month (AMAs/Spaces/Workshops) with guests or internal speakers.
  • Feedback Loop

    : monthly insights report to Ops/Product with top issues and wins.
  • Tooling Setup

    : moderation bots, role gating, dashboards, ticketing, and alert channels.

Candidate Profile — Must Haves

  • 2–3 years

    in community management (Web3/crypto, fintech, or developer tools strongly preferred).
  • Native‑level command of

    Discord/Telegram

    operations and moderation.
  • Experience setting up

    anti‑spam/anti‑phishing

    protections and role/permit systems.
  • Proven record running

    AMAs/Spaces

    and shipping quests without attracting only airdrop hunters.
  • Comfortable writing

    clear, helpful copy

    and handling tough conversations calmly.
  • Data‑minded: turns raw chat into insights and can present reports.


Nice to Have

  • Experience launching ambassador programs; basic

    design/edit

    skills for social assets.
  • Familiarity with basics of

    on‑chain activity

    , wallets, and common Web3 scams.
  • Regional language skills for India/APAC audiences.
