Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Strategic Leadership Role Please Note : Candidates must possess a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification to be considered for this position. Candidates with Cost Accountant (CMA) qualifications and relevant experience may also apply. We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our company's financial strategy, operational management, and compliance efforts. This is a key leadership role reporting directly to senior management. Key Responsibilities As a Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will be responsible for leading financial strategy, managing risk, and driving business growth. Reporting directly to the CEO/Managing Director, you will oversee financial planning, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and stakeholder engagement. Your responsibilities will include: Financial Strategy & Reporting Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, cash flow reports, and profit and loss accounts. Drive financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting in line with the company’s growth objectives. Ensure timely and accurate preparation and presentation of monthly financials, cash flow statements, and business performance reports to senior management. Provide executive-level insights on strategic investments, business opportunities, and financial risks. Operational & Financial Controls Develop and manage cash flow, capital requirements, and funding strategies. Ensure timely collection of receivables by working with the Contracts Department and operational teams. Lead procurement planning, review purchase orders, and approve payment schedules for customers and suppliers. Oversee cost control initiatives, process improvements, and job costing to ensure project profitability. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure full compliance with all regulatory obligations, including Income Tax, GST, PF, ESI, and other applicable laws. Manage audits by coordinating with internal and external auditors and regulatory authorities. Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and provide necessary documentation for regulatory audits. Maintain effective relationships with banks, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies to manage loans, cash flow, and financing needs. Leadership & Team Development Lead and develop a high-performing finance and accounts team. Conduct periodic asset verification and ensure alignment with company policy. Build a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement within the finance function. Qualifications Required: Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or Cost Accountant (CMA) qualification. 10+ years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles, preferably in a manufacturing, engineering, or production environment. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (required). Preferred: MBA or Master’s degree in Finance or related field. Strong knowledge of direct and indirect taxes, payroll processing, and finalization of books of accounts. Expertise in working with financial software (ERP, Tally, SAP) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial modeling tools. Key Skills & Attributes Leadership: Ability to lead teams, influence senior leadership, and engage with external stakeholders. Strategic Thinking: Strong commercial acumen with the ability to align financial strategy to organizational goals. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and develop strategies that improve profitability and cash flow. Risk Management: Proficient in identifying and mitigating financial, compliance, and operational risks. Communication: Strong communication skills to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Technical Knowledge: Expertise in financial regulations (GST, PF, ESI, and IT) and industry best practices.
