Job Summary: The Senior Purchase Manager will be responsible for leading the procurement function, developing vendor partnerships, ensuring the timely sourcing of materials, and optimizing costs without compromising on quality or delivery timelines. The role demands strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of precision engineering requirements, and effective coordination with internal departments. Qualification: B.E./ M.E.- Mechanical Work Experience: 8-15+ Years Location: Chattral (Near Kadi / Kalol) No. of Openings: 1 Key Responsibilities: Strategic Procurement & Sourcing: Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for raw materials, tools, consumables, and capital goods. Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to improve supply chain performance and reduce risk. Ensure procurement aligns with production planning and inventory control objectives. Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure quality, cost, and delivery performance. Lead vendor development initiatives and long-term contracts for critical materials and services. Evaluate supplier performance regularly using KPIs like delivery adherence, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Cost Optimization & Negotiation: Negotiate commercial terms, lead time, and payment terms to achieve cost savings targets. Implement cost reduction strategies through value engineering, alternative sourcing, or bulk purchases. Operational Excellence: Ensure timely procurement to avoid production delays. Monitor and maintain optimum inventory levels using MRP systems or ERP tools. Address supply-related issues and ensure proactive resolution to avoid disruption. Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with the production, quality, finance, and design teams for seamless supply chain execution. Coordinate with quality control for incoming material inspections and supplier audits. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, ISO standards, and industry regulations. Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and purchase order documentation. Team Management: Lead and mentor the purchasing team for performance enhancement and skill development. Delegate tasks effectively and monitor team KPIs. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical) or Supply Chain Management; MBA preferred. Minimum 8–12 years of procurement experience in a precision engineering or manufacturing industry , with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Strong understanding of machining components, raw material grades, tools, and industrial consumables. Experience in ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
