Role Overview

The Senior purchase executive is responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement activities of an organization.

You will be responsible for sourcing, procuring, and managing the purchasing of goods and services to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition. This role involves vendor management, negotiation, inventory tracking, and collaborating with internal teams to meet business needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers/vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts, prices, and payment terms with suppliers.
  • Prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders (POs) in line with company policies.
  • Track and follow up on delivery timelines; coordinate with suppliers to resolve delays.
  • Monitor inventory levels, forecast procurement needs, and maintain optimal stock.
  • Maintain and review supplier performance using KPIs such as quality, delivery time, and cost.
  • Manage documentation related to procurement: purchase orders, invoices, contracts, delivery notes, etc.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g., production, finance, warehouse) to understand their procurement needs.
  • Prepare procurement reports and present to senior management.
  • Develop and recommend sourcing strategies and cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.

2. 2-3 years of experience as a Procurement executive or in a similar procurement role, preferably in a related industry.

3. In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relationship management.

4. Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
