Role Overview

We are seeking a senior, results-driven Business Development professional to spearhead and scale our API export business. The role requires strong hands-on experience in international trading, merchant exports, or API sales, with the ability to independently drive growth, build buyer relationships, and close high-value export deals.

This is a leadership role with high autonomy, ideal for a professional who understands global pharma sourcing dynamics and is comfortable owning targets end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

• Drive international sales of APIs and pharmaceutical raw materials across existing and new markets

• Expand Khyati Healthcare’s footprint in Latin America, Africa, and other strategic regions

• Identify, qualify, and onboard new overseas buyers, distributors, and institutional clients

• Manage the complete sales lifecycle: lead generation, negotiations, pricing, contracts, and closures

• Achieve and exceed annual export revenue and margin targets

Market Expansion & Strategy

• Develop and execute market entry and growth strategies for new geographies

• Track global API demand trends, competitor activity, and pricing benchmarks

• Identify high-potential molecules and sourcing opportunities aligned with market demand

• Work closely with sourcing, quality, regulatory, and logistics teams to ensure deal feasibility

Client Relationship Management

• Build long-term, trust-based relationships with international buyers

• Handle repeat business, contract renewals, and account growth

• Act as a senior point of contact for key global customers

Coordination & Execution

• Coordinate with internal teams for documentation, compliance, shipping, and post-sales support

• Ensure adherence to export regulations, documentation standards, and quality expectations

• Represent the company at international pharma exhibitions, trade fairs, and buyer meetings

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience

• 8–15+ years of experience in API sales, pharmaceutical exports, merchant trading, or international B2B trading

• Proven track record in export-oriented business development

• Prior exposure to Latin America, Africa, Middle East, or emerging markets preferred

• Experience working with API manufacturers, traders, or sourcing companies is a strong advantage

Skills & Competencies

• Strong negotiation and commercial acumen

• Deep understanding of international trade, Incoterms, pricing, margins, and payment terms

• Ability to independently originate and close deals

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability
