Job Title: Senior Accounting Executive

Industry: Manufacturing (Pumps)
Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting
Executive to manage the end-to-end accounting operations for our manufacturing unit specializing in pump production. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of accounting principles, GST regulations, financial reporting, and team leadership. This role requires a proactive professional with strong analytical skills, excellent financial acumen, and hands-on experience in handling statutory compliance and audit processes.
Key Responsibilities:Financial Management & Reporting· Prepare and oversee accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income
statements, and cash flow statements.
· Lead month-end and year-end closing processes; ensure accurate accounts closure for audit.
· Perform in-depth financial analysis to assist in decision-making and strategic planning.
Compliance & Taxation· Ensure timely GST
filings through the GST Portal, including handling ISD (Input
Service Distributor) transaction entries.
· Maintain a thorough understanding of government GST claim procedures and apply them effectively.
· Accurately calculate and record TDS and TCS, ensuring correct application of relevant sections
and statutory limits.
· Stay updated with regulatory changes and implement necessary policy adjustments to ensure ongoing compliance.
Budgeting & Forecasting· Assist in developing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
· Monitor budget vs actual performance and provide variance analysis.
Process Optimization· Identify areas for process improvement within the finance function.
· Lead and implement initiatives for efficiency, automation, and enhanced financial control.
Banking & Treasury Operations· Manage banking transactions and procedures including:
o Bank Guarantees (BG)
o Fixed Deposit Receipts
(FDR)
o Demand Drafts (DD)
o NEFT & RTGS
Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration· Guide and supervise junior accounting staff; ensure high performance and compliance with internal controls.
· Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
· Support management with insights during financial planning and business strategy discussions.
Qualifications &
Requirements:Education & Certifications· Bachelors or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
· Certified Public
Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification preferred.
Experience· Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
· At least 5 years in a
managerial or supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills· In-depth knowledge of accounting
principles and financial statements.
· Proficient in advanced
MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, dashboards, etc.).
· Experience with ERP/accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, and Oracle).
· Strong understanding of financial
modelling.
Soft Skills· Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
· Ability to communicate financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
