Job Title : Tool Design Engineer Department : Engineering Location : Devanahalli, Bangalore Reports to : Lead Engineer- Engineering Purpose of the job To ensure that manufactured or procured products meet the specified standards, customer & compliance requirements, before they progress to the next phase of production or are sent to customers in compliance with the Marian rules and procedures. Key result areas Using 2DCAD or 2DAutoCAD to analyze existing/new tooling designs concept and improve on them. Developing blueprints for new tooling designs as per client or project specifications. Developing prototypes and testing new designs. Carrying out quality assurance tests on new designs. Traveling to manufacturing plants and factories to gather information and liaise with manufacturing and design teams. Creating blueprints and designs using CAD or AutoCAD. Negotiating with vendors and contractors to secure the best deals. Scheduling meetings with management and marketing personnel as required. Keeping abreast of developments in the Engineering field by expanding networks and attending events. . Critical requirements Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ GTTC/NTTF (Mechanical) 1 ~5 years of experience Tooling in high-speed Design will be an added advantage. Tooling knowledge will be an added advantage. Willing to go to CHINA for training for 1or 2 months (passport must be valid) Competencies Basic English & Fluent in Kannada Good knowledge on 2D AutoCAD Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Team spirit Good computer skills; including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and Power Point Presentation., MS Outlook, and ERP tools.
