Location : Devanahalli, Bangalore

Reports to : Lead Engineer- Engineering

Purpose of the job

To ensure that manufactured or procured products meet the specified standards, customer & compliance requirements, before they progress to the next phase of production or are sent to customers in compliance with the Marian rules and procedures.

Key result areas

• Using 2DCAD or 2DAutoCAD to analyze existing/new tooling designs concept and improve on them.
• Developing blueprints for new tooling designs as per client or project specifications.
• Developing prototypes and testing new designs.
• Carrying out quality assurance tests on new designs.
• Traveling to manufacturing plants and factories to gather information and liaise with manufacturing and design teams.
• Creating blueprints and designs using CAD or AutoCAD.
• Negotiating with vendors and contractors to secure the best deals.
• Scheduling meetings with management and marketing personnel as required.
• Keeping abreast of developments in the Engineering field by expanding networks and attending events.

Critical requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ GTTC/NTTF (Mechanical)
• 1 ~5 years of experience
• Tooling in high-speed Design will be an added advantage.
• Tooling knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Willing to go to CHINA for training for 1or 2 months (passport must be valid)

Competencies

• Basic English & Fluent in Kannada
• Good knowledge on 2D AutoCAD
• Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Team spirit
• Good computer skills; including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and Power Point Presentation., MS Outlook, and ERP tools.
• Good in Drawing reading
• Fast Learning Skills
