Job Summary:

The Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the sales team and driving sales growth within the organization. The role requires a blend of leadership, strategy, and hands-on execution to meet the company's revenue targets and foster a positive team environment. This position involves managing a team of sales representatives, creating sales strategies, analyzing market trends, and working closely with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Leadership:
  • Lead and manage a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to ensure the team’s success.
  • Set clear sales goals and ensure that sales representatives are motivated to meet or exceed them.
  • Organize regular meetings with the sales team to review performance, discuss strategies, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Strategic Planning:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies based on market trends, customer insights, and company goals.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Evaluate and adjust strategies as necessary to respond to competitive changes or market conditions.
  • Market Analysis & Reporting:
  • Analyze industry trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to inform sales tactics.
  • Prepare regular sales reports for senior management, providing insights on sales performance, market conditions, and areas for growth.
  • Track key metrics such as sales performance, pipeline health, conversion rates, and customer acquisition cost.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Act as a point of escalation for important customer issues and support sales reps in resolving complex matters.
  • Implement customer feedback loops to continuously improve products and services.
  • Sales Training & Development:
  • Develop and implement ongoing training programs for the sales team, focusing on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service.
  • Foster a team-oriented, positive, and performance-driven culture within the sales department.
  • Identify opportunities for career development and advancement for team members.
  • Budgeting & Resource Allocation:
  • Manage the sales department budget, ensuring resources are used efficiently to achieve sales goals.
  • Allocate sales resources effectively to maximize the potential for new business while nurturing existing accounts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with marketing, finance, and operations teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment on sales activities.
  • Assist in the development of promotional materials, product launches, and customer communications.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar sales leadership role.
  • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Leadership: Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Strategic Thinking: Skilled in developing and executing sales strategies that align with business goals.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret sales data and market trends to make informed decisions.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present to senior leadership and clients.
  • Negotiation: Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on creating win-win outcomes.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to think critically and resolve complex challenges.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with sales analytics and reporting tools.

Personal Attributes:

  • Results-oriented with a strong drive to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • High level of initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.

  • Certifications in sales methodologies (e.g., SPIN Selling, Sandler Training, etc.).

Job Types: Full-time, Fresher, Internship

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹11,000.00 per month
