Job Purpose:

The Business Development Manager at Sanjay Technologies is responsible for driving business growth in

the assigned region by building strong relationships, identifying new opportunities and expanding the market presence in the EMS sector.

This role demands high energy, technical aptitude, market insight, and proactive networking abilities to enable business growth. The position will collaborate closely with management to execute strategic account plans, ensuring alignment with the business objectives and customer expectations

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Market Development

• Proactively identify, research, and develop new business opportunities within the EMS sector focusing on

SMT, Box Build and related manufacturing services.

• Increase market share by identifying and implementing strategies to grow revenues with existing accounts.

• Develop and execute comprehensive business plans to capitalize Make in India initiatives and other emerging

market opportunities.

• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to create focused business strategies.

• Develop and implement go-to-market plans for new products or services.

Sales & Account Management

• Pursue and support sales to close business deals aggressively to ensure market growth.

• Support to achieve & grow sales and revenue targets by establishing strong relationships with key OEM and

value-added product customers.

• Nurture and manage existing customer relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.

• Present sales presentations and proposals to clients, negotiating contracts to optimize profitability.

Customer Relationship Management – Engagement & Service Excellence

• Build, nurture, and sustain long-term relationships with domestic and international clients.

• Lead regular business reviews (QBRs) with key customers, serving value-added solutions and addressing

requirements.

• Provide excellent service, respond to technical and commercial queries, and promptly resolve issues related

to payments, excess & obsolete (E&O) inventory and out-of-scope costs.

• Maintain updated client data and track opportunity pipelines in CRM/ERP system.

Cross-functional Leadership

• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Operations teams to align solutions with client

requirements and ensure smooth progression from order to production.

• Pursue new project opportunities and support product launches.

• Coordinate with manufacturing plants & sales team to guarantee timely order fulfillment, product transfer,

and ramp-up for exports.

Business Intelligence & Reporting

• Build deep knowledge of the local EMS market, customer landscape and competitive trends.

• Monitor key business metrics and prepare performance reports for senior management.

• Track financials, profit margins, identify gaps and develop action plans.

• Regularly update management on progress with opportunity logs, new accounts, and sales forecasting.

International Trade and Compliance

• Stay updated of international business regulations / trade compliance.

• Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and government agencies for export / import operations.

• Ensure all sales and shipments meet regulatory requirements for target markets.


Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development and / marketing / sales, preferably within the EMS or contract manufacturing industry.

• Solid technical understanding of SMT, Box build manufacturing processes and supply chain management in the EMS sector.

• Strong project management, negotiation, and commercial acumen.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM, ERP systems.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

• Knowledge of international trade laws, export regulations, and logistics is a plus.
