The role involves driving sales growth, forming strategic partnerships, and ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term vision of clean and sustainable energy solutions. Knowledge : Full and detailed knowledge on new business opportunities. Qualifications & Certifications : B.E. / B.Tech (Electrical/Mechanical) + MBA (preferred) Experience : 6–10 years of experience in Sales / Business Development, preferably in IPP, acquiring C&I customers and signing PPA. Skills · Strong knowledge of renewable energy markets, including solar, wind, hybrid, and energy storage systems. · Proven experience in B2B and project-based sales in the power sector. · Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. · Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze market potential and formulate business plans. · Familiarity with tendering, PPAs, and regulatory frameworks in the renewable energy industry. · Ability to work independently and drive results under minimal supervision. Problem Solving Must trouble shoot all challenges, roadblocks, conflicts in the way of achieving last mile well in time and finding alternate solutions to protect the Organizational Interests. Resolves issues with Internal/External Customers and staff. Responsibilities 1. Identify and develop new business opportunities in solar, wind, hybrid, and other renewable energy segments. 2. Engage with utilities, corporate clients, EPC partners, and government bodies to explore and execute IPP projects. 3. Lead end-to-end business development activities including market research, lead generation, client acquisition, proposal preparation, and contract negotiation. 4. Develop commercial models, project feasibility assessments, and financial projections for prospective clients. 5. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as DISCOMs, state nodal agencies, consultants, and investors. 6. Track policy changes, regulatory updates, and market trends in the renewable energy space to identify potential business opportunities. 7. Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, finance, and legal) to ensure timely proposal submission and project closure. 8. Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and networking. 9. Achieve annual sales and revenue targets as per business plan.
