Sales Head – Multi-Outlet (Trivandrum, Kochi & Kollam)

Location

Kerala, India (with responsibility for three outlets located in Trivandrum, Kochi and Kollam)

Reporting To

Managing Director / General Manager / Head of Business (as per your firm’s hierarchy)

Role Purpose

To lead, strategise and execute the sales function across three outlet locations (Trivandrum, Kochi and Kollam). You will drive revenue growth, ensure consistent sales performance across outlets, align local teams with regional strategy, and build a high-performance sales culture. The goal is to maximise market share, improve customer experience, standardise best practices across the outlets and ensure each location meets its sales targets while working in synergy.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic & Multi-Outlet Sales Leadership

  • Develop and implement a unified sales strategy for the three outlets (Trivandrum, Kochi, Kollam), aligned with the overall business goals. Indeed+2Cleverism+2
  • Set outlet-specific and consolidated sales targets (monthly/quarterly/annual) and ensure they are met or exceeded.
  • Analyse regional market conditions (Kerala/each city) including competition, customer segments, trends and identify growth opportunities. randstad.in+1
  • Ensure consistency of customer experience, pricing, product/service offering, promotions, and merchandising (if applicable) across all three outlets.
  • Monitor and manage outlet-level P&L (profit & loss), margin performance, cost of sales, discounting and promotional expense.
  • Travel between outlets as needed for inspections, meetings, trainings, customer engagements and stakeholder interactions.

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Oversee the sales teams of the three outlets (may include outlet sales managers, floor sales staff, customer service, after-sales) – define organisational structure, roles, KPIs.
  • Recruit, train, and coach outlet sales managers and teams; build capability to consistently deliver results. Superworks+1
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, set up incentivisation/commission plans, develop motivation & recognition programmes.
  • Foster cross-outlet collaboration: sharing best practices, aligning performance standards, organising joint trainings or team-meetings.

Sales Execution & Growth Initiatives

  • Monitor daily/weekly/monthly sales performance at each outlet and consolidated; identify gaps and corrective actions quickly.
  • Develop and launch promotional campaigns, upsell/cross-sell initiatives, seasonal offers, loyalty programmes across outlets.
  • Manage key customer relationships, large/strategic accounts (if applicable), and escalate insights & feedback to senior leadership.
  • Expand business through new customer segments, partnerships, tie-ups, local marketing collaborations in each city/outlet.
  • Ensure that store merchandising, product mix, inventory levels, stock-rotations (if retail) or service offering (if service-based) are optimised for sales performance.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Integration

  • Work closely with Marketing/Branding team to ensure aligned messaging, localised promotional activities for each outlet, POP materials, local events.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless sales process: product availability, pricing, quality, delivery and after-sales service.
  • Provide market feedback to Product/Service development teams: customer preferences, competitor offerings, emerging trends, localised requirements.
  • Develop and monitor sales dashboards & analytics: sales by outlet, per-customer average, conversion rate, repeat business, store traffic (if applicable), margin by product/service. Cleverism

Governance, Standards & Compliance

  • Ensure each outlet adheres to company policies, standard operating procedures, pricing & discount guidelines, local regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain strong ethical sales practices, customer satisfaction, service standards and brand reputation.
  • Ensure local staff in each outlet are trained in customer handling, compliance (if relevant), and aligned to the company’s quality culture.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management or related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus. skima.ai+1
  • Proven experience (typically 7-10 years or more) in sales leadership/management roles, preferably in a multi-outlet or multi-location environment (retail, service or comparable).
  • Strong understanding of retail/service operations, outlet management, consumer behaviour, local markets (especially Trivandrum, Kochi, Kollam region a plus).
  • Track record of achieving sales targets, managing P&L, margin improvement, multi-location coordination.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, coaching and team-building skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset: comfortable working with sales data, forecasting, performance metrics, identifying trends and driving action. Cleverism+1

  • Ability to think strategically and operationally: develop plans and also roll-up-sleeves for execution in local outlets.
